Sony hasn’t actively participated in consumer conventions for several years, but they’re returning to the Tokyo Game Show. They did have a limited presence at the event last year as well.
PlayStation’s event kicks off on September 25th at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, and attendees will have the chance to play a variety of games, such as:
- Battlefield 6
- Digimon Story: Time Stranger
- Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake
- Fishbowl
- Ghost of Yotei
- Lumines Arise
- Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls
- Meteora: A Challenge to Time and Space
- Nioh 3
- Onimusha: Way of the Sword
- Phantom Blade Zero
- Resident Evil Requiem
- Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds
- The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin
The Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls demo at the event will be an enhanced version featuring both Ghost Rider and Spider-Man as playable characters. Attendees will also get a first look at brand new stages.
Rumors suggest a new State of Play event will happen next week, and we expect to see new stages revealed during the broadcast. We’re also predicting the announcement of some new characters.
Throughout the weekend, Sony will host live stage shows at their booth, featuring demonstrations of games like Resident Evil: Requiem and Onimusha: Way of the Sword.
As a huge fan, I’m so excited to hear that they’ll have free stuff at the booth! They’re giving away awesome things like Ghost of Yotei masks, cool Marvel Tokon badges, Yoasobi stickers, and a bunch of other goodies – it’s going to be amazing!
PlayStation will be selling exclusive merchandise and licensed products, like cool Toro Inoue keychains shaped like floppy disks, Astro Bot t-shirts, and even a Bloodborne sweater.
