A new rumor suggests the Fantastic Four might appear in the upcoming movie, *Avengers: Doomsday*. The film is currently scheduled to be released on December 18, 2026, with *Avengers: Secret Wars* following on December 17, 2027.

What is the Fantastic Four’s role in Avengers: Doomsday?

After a fan questioned whether the Fantastic Four would separate to assist other heroes in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday film, Alex Perez from The Cosmic Circus hinted that Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing will likely stay together for the majority of the movie.

He believes fans will ultimately see the team split up so members can collaborate with other groups. When questioned about whether Doomsday might introduce the Council of Reeds to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Perez hinted that it’s a definite possibility.

As a huge Marvel fan, I’m incredibly excited about the new Avengers film, currently titled ‘Avengers: Doomsday’! The Russo brothers, who directed ‘Endgame’, are back in the director’s chair, and Stephen McFeely is writing the script, which is fantastic news. Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth are returning, and it’s going to be wild seeing Downey Jr. play a completely different character – Doctor Doom! The cast is absolutely stacked, too. We’ve got Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and so many others – Paul Rudd, Sebastian Stan, Tom Hiddleston, Florence Pugh, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, and a ton more familiar faces. Honestly, it feels like they’re bringing everyone together for this one, and I can’t wait!

The next movie will bring back several familiar faces from the X-Men series, including Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, and Channing Tatum as Gambit. Kevin Feige has hinted that these aren’t all of the actors who will be in the film, and more announcements are coming soon. There’s also been speculation that characters from other Marvel movies – like Doctor Strange, Deadpool, Peggy Carter, Captain America, and Spider-Man – could make an appearance.
