Tom Holland is swinging back to health.
After experiencing a minor concussion while filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Glasgow, Scotland-the fourth film in the Spider-Man series-the 29-year-old actor provided a health update. He shared this while discussing a fundraising event for his charity, The Brothers Trust, which was held in London.
Tom explained on Instagram on September 27th that he had to leave the fundraiser early, but he’s now feeling much better. He gave a special shout-out to his dad for stepping in to take over, joking that the event became even funnier afterward.
Tom’s parents, brothers Sam, Harry, and Paddy Holland, his fiancé Zendaya, and their fellow actor Jacob Batalon were all at the event, which happened just after Tom suffered an injury on September 19th.
Tom Holland had to take a short break from filming the new *Spider-Man* movie after a concussion, but he’s thrilled to be back. The film will also feature Sadie Sink from *Stranger Things* and Liza Colón-Zayas from *The Bear*. He’s especially excited to return, as the previous movie had some restrictions.
He described playing Spider-Man as being like spending time with a close friend. In an interview with Flip Your Wig in July, he explained that the last movie felt limited due to Covid restrictions, as they filmed the whole thing on sound stages.
We’re going back to traditional filmmaking methods and shooting on location, starting in Glasgow. We’ll be using the city’s streets as the backdrop for a large-scale scene, aiming for the same feel as the original *Spider-Man* movie.
Tom Holland is used to playing Spider-Man, but he’s said this latest movie feels different and particularly exciting.
He shared in a behind-the-scenes video posted to the movie’s Instagram last month that putting on the suit felt different this time. He also mentioned it was the first time they’d ever had fans present on the first day of filming, which made the experience especially exciting to share with them.
He mentioned seeing a lot of people he knew while filming, and said he was going to try his best and hoped everything went well, despite feeling a little pressure.

After noticing she looked “puffier” during interviews, she was surprised to see doctors commenting online, concerned about her appearance and suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome. This led her to realize the condition could be linked to steroid injections she’d received after a breast reduction and C-section. Schumer explained she wouldn’t have known about the condition without the online comments. Although the symptoms eventually passed, Hailey went to the hospital where scans revealed she’d had a small blood clot in her brain, which doctors identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack).
Further testing at UCLA uncovered a hole in her heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). Doctors determined the blood clot had traveled to her heart, passed through the PFO, and reached her brain, causing the TIA.
Hailey successfully underwent a procedure to close the PFO and is now doing well.

A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding around the brain – resulting from a ruptured aneurysm. She immediately underwent surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, leaving her unable to speak coherently.
After a week, her speech returned, and she was discharged from the hospital after a month. However, a scan in 2013 revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This surgery was unsuccessful, leading to a massive bleed and a dire prognosis. Doctors had to perform a more invasive procedure, accessing her brain directly through her skull.

Determined to find answers, Woodley, who has kept her specific condition private, combined traditional medical care with holistic and herbal remedies. This search for well-being spanned a decade.

Ultimately, Woodley’s health improved, and she is now happy to report that she is very healthy and the issues have resolved themselves.
