Battlefield 6 features several large maps that give snipers a significant advantage, especially when using top-performing weapons.
You might want to consider the Range Finder attachment – it’s something you may have missed or be planning to use.
Here’s what it does, and how you can get it so you don’t miss those all-important shots.
What is the Range Finder in Battlefield 6?
In Battlefield 6, the Range Finder is an attachment specifically designed for the M2010 ESR sniper rifle. This rifle is the first one you’ll unlock and is considered one of the most effective weapons in the game.
As a player, I’ve found the Range Finder is super helpful because it basically tells you exactly how far away your target is. It then adjusts your aim so you can shoot much more accurately – it really makes a difference!
Once you have the Range Finder, you can calibrate your scope by pressing down on the D-pad (on consoles) or holding the B key (on PC).
How to unlock the Range Finder
To get the Range Finder, you need to reach Rank 4 with the M2010 ESR and use 10 Attachment points.
This will add the item to your attachment choices, potentially giving you an advantage when choosing attachments.
Can you snipe without the Range Finder?
Although the Range Finder simplifies things, you can also pinpoint how far away enemies are by using the in-game ping system, and it also helps your teammates know who you’re focusing on.
After you’ve aimed, press the same button you used to aim (B on PC or down on the D-pad) to adjust how far your sniper rifle shoots. It’s a bit slower than using the Range Finder, but it works until you get that upgrade.
