Destiny 2: Renegades Trailer Reminds You It Exists With Blasters, Lightsabers, and a Titan Jetpack

It’s no secret that Destiny 2 is struggling, with fewer people playing than ever before. So, the developers are hoping the new Renegades expansion, inspired by Star Wars, will bring players back. A recent trailer showed off the new weapons and powerful gear—including a blade that’s remarkably similar to a lightsaber, officially called the Praxic Blade.

The game features a variety of blasters to suit different playstyles. The Uncivil Discourse, for example, cools down by releasing heat instead of needing to be reloaded. The Modified B-7 Pistol is unique – enemies you defeat with it explode into stasis crystals. Players who prefer a long-range approach can use the Refurbished A499, a powerful sniper rifle that automatically reloads after each shot. And for those wanting a more classic feel, the Heirloom functions like a Wookie Bowcaster, firing explosive bolts.

Okay, so the Exotic gear is really cool! As a Hunter, I’m loving Fortune’s Favor – it basically gives you faster shield recharge, and eventually an overshield. Warlocks get to suspend enemies in their Rifts, and then do damage over time with this Exotic called Deimosuffusion. But honestly, the Titan’s Praxic Vestment is the one everyone’s talking about. It’s like a jetpack! It lets you do this awesome aerial maneuver, and it just looks incredible. Seriously, it’s a game changer.

Destiny 2: Renegades comes out on December 2nd. You can find out more about the story and what you’ll be able to do in a video released in September, which shares some similarities with the game Helldivers 2.
