I’ve been watching a new samurai series on Netflix, and it’s quickly become a hit! Called Last Samurai Standing, it’s based on a novel and throws you into a really gritty world where older, discarded samurai are forced to fight to the death for a big cash prize. What’s really grabbed me is how each samurai is different – they all have distinct personalities, cool designs, and unique ways of fighting. It’s a world you can really get lost in, and I’m already looking for more content like it – thankfully, there are five great movies to check out once you finish the series!

It’s easy to see why Last Samurai Standing received a perfect score from Rotten Tomatoes upon its Netflix release. The show is a standout, featuring a compelling character grappling with the trauma of war while facing off against incredibly skilled swordsmen. Rurouni Kenshin Brings the Samurai Action to Netflix
