Stranger Things Season 5 Writes off Beloved Character Without Clarification

The first part of Stranger Things Season 5, which will be the show’s last, has arrived. Despite being a key character in the previous season and adding a unique dynamic, Eduardo Franco, who plays Argylle, doesn’t appear in this final installment – and the actor previously mentioned he hadn’t been contacted about returning.

What happened to Argyle in Stranger Things Season 5 Vol. 1?

Argylle joined the show in the fourth season of Stranger Things when the Byers family relocated to California. He quickly became a source of much-needed humor and became an important character throughout the season’s events.

Surprisingly, Eduardo Franco wasn’t in the first part of Stranger Things’ final season. He hasn’t appeared at all, and there’s been no explanation for his absence. Franco previously stated he wasn’t contacted about returning for the show’s last season.

He said he was glad someone was concerned, but he never received a phone call, as he mentioned on the Steve Varley Show.

It’s understandable that Argylle isn’t with the other characters, considering his character is supposed to be from California and therefore wouldn’t be in Hawkins. However, because fans really liked Argylle, they’ll likely want to know why he’s missing.

The season isn’t finished yet, so there’s still a chance he could appear in the second half of the show. Even if he doesn’t actually appear on screen, the remaining episodes might still explain what he’s been up to.

Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1 is now streaming on Netflix.
