A recent leak has given fans the first official glimpse of Leon Kennedy in the upcoming game, Resident Evil Requiem. While rumors have circulated for a long time suggesting Leon’s return, Capcom hadn’t confirmed his involvement until now. This new leak from a trusted source confirms that Leon will play a major part in Requiem.
New artwork for Resident Evil Requiem recently appeared on the PlayStation Store. It’s not visible to all users, but those who pre-ordered the game saw it as a thumbnail. The art shows Requiem’s main character, Grace Ashcroft, and also reveals an older, more weathered version of Leon Kennedy. Because of how this artwork was discovered, it’s confirmed to be official and proves Leon will be featured in the game.
You can get a look at the art featuring Leon for yourself in the post below:

Capcom hasn’t officially responded to the recent leak, but an announcement is expected soon. Resident Evil Requiem is already scheduled for a new reveal at The Game Awards on December 11th, and it seems this leak – showing Leon Kennedy in the game – was part of that planned announcement. It’s unclear if Capcom will now choose to share the news earlier in the week.
The upcoming game, Resident Evil Requiem, is scheduled to launch on February 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. We will share any official updates from Capcom about this news on ComicBook as soon as we receive them.
