Everyone’s been wondering what big threat the heroes of the new DC Universe will face when they finally team up. Right now, many think it will be Darkseid, especially since the second season of *Peacemaker* seems to be leading into the *Salvation Run* story, which heavily features the New Gods. However, another theory is gaining traction with fans, and they feel they’ve found enough clues to prove it’s true.

Throughout the history of science fiction, many beloved franchises and films have seen some truly unusual sequel ideas proposed. With its funny title, the anime *The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You* has become popular since its release in 2023. The show, adapted from a manga by Rikito Namakura and Yukiko Nozawa, centers around Rentaro Aijo, who wishes for a girlfriend in high school. His wish is granted, but in a surprising twist – one hundred girls fall in love with him! A third season is confirmed to be coming next year, following the airing of the second season earlier this year, and a new preview has been released to give fans a sneak peek.

Madeline McGraw has her sights set on joining the Spider-Man universe. In a recent interview with the Hollywood Reporter, she shared her dream of playing Spider-Gwen or any character from the franchise, saying she’s a huge fan and deeply drawn to that world. Interestingly, the role of Gwen Stacy might become available. While Hailee Steinfeld voiced Gwen in the animated *Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse* and *Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse*, Steinfeld already plays Kate Bishop in the live-action MCU series *Hawkeye*, which could open the door for a new actress to take on the role if Gwen Stacy appears in live-action.

It seems unlikely that the *Doomsday* event will introduce many new characters beyond Doctor Doom. He’ll already be dealing with major teams like the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men. Still, there’s a chance a lesser-known character might finally get their moment to shine. One of the writers even has a specific hero in mind that fans would be excited to see appear.

Many films end with exciting, climactic scenes, but arguably the best of these actually *starts* a Spider-Man movie. That opening sequence is from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which is often considered the weakest film in the character’s eight-movie history.
