The Boys Season 5’s Early Rotten Tomatoes Score Continues a 6-Year Streak (& Is a Good Sign for the Ending)

Okay, so I’m really excited – Season 5 of The Boys drops on April 8th, and the early reviews are amazing. Right now, it’s sitting at 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, which suggests they’re really sticking the landing with this final season. And get this – since Season 2 back in 2020, every season has scored 90% or higher with critics! That’s a pretty incredible run for a show, and it definitely has me hyped to see how it all ends.

Aldis Hodge stars as Alex Cross, a skilled but troubled forensic psychologist and detective, in the new series based on James Patterson’s novels. Set in Washington D.C., the show follows Cross as he grapples with the murder of his wife while navigating corruption within the police department and pursuing dangerous criminals. As he investigates increasingly complex cases, Cross finds himself with no one to rely on. While Hodge is the latest actor to take on the role, Morgan Freeman first portrayed Alex Cross in the films Kiss the Girls (1997) and Along Came a Spider (2001).

Things get even worse when a dark, frightening creature starts haunting them, feeding on their sadness and fear. Apparently, one part was so scary during test screenings they had to change it before it came out in theaters in 2023! Now, thankfully, it’s available to stream on Hulu since April 5th, so you can experience the chills too.
