When people think of classic horror movies, Carrie always comes to mind. Originally a 1974 novel by Stephen King, the story follows Carrie White, a shy and isolated teenager who discovers she has telekinetic powers. She ultimately uses those powers to get revenge on those who have wronged her. The original 1976 film, directed by Brian De Palma and starring Sissy Spacek, and the 2013 remake starring Chloë Grace Moretz, are now both available to stream on Prime Video, starting March 1st. Both movies depict Carrie’s life as a bullied and abused teenager, and how that trauma leads to a terrifying and supernatural act of revenge.
