I was totally shipping Yaz and the Doctor! It was so sweet when Yaz finally told the Doctor how she felt, but then it was heartbreaking to see them say goodbye at the end of ‘The Power of the Doctor’. Honestly, a lot of us fans are really hoping we get to see what happens with them next – I’d love to know if they ever get back together!

The episode ‘Flashes of Darkonda,’ which originally aired on May 16, 1998, revealed that Darkonda had kidnapped Karone years ago. This discovery led to an even bigger surprise: Karone was actually Astronema, the series’ villain.
