Avalanche Studios, the Swedish game developer, is currently recruiting for a new, unannounced open-world game. Job postings suggest the game will focus on smooth movement and action-packed combat, and it’s being built using Avalanche’s own Apex Engine. Given these details, many believe it’s likely a new installment in the Just Cause series – possibly Just Cause 5. However, it could also be a completely new open-world franchise. If the game isn’t related to Just Cause, then Square Enix, who owns the Just Cause intellectual property, won’t be the publisher; Avalanche Studios doesn’t own the rights to the series itself.

Lost Kingdom, a GameCube game published by Activision, was a standout title that cleverly combined fantasy adventure with card-collecting gameplay, creating a surprisingly captivating experience. While enjoyable for its time with its fast-paced action and fantasy setting, the card-collecting aspects could be improved with modern game design. FromSoftware, known for its current successes, should consider revisiting and revitalizing this often-overlooked classic.

The anime series, based on the manga by Negi Haruba, finished airing five years ago, but it’s remained popular with a new movie and several special episodes shown in Japanese theaters recently. Released on Hulu on April 25th, this 2025 movie is filmed entirely from the perspective of the family dog – think of it as a live-action version of Courage the Cowardly Dog. The film stars Indy, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, playing himself – a devoted dog who moves with his sick owner, Todd, into a remote house. Good Boy shows the world through a dog’s senses and highlights his unwavering loyalty as he tries to defend Todd from a sinister presence haunting their new home.

I was so excited to see Butch Hartman recently confirmed something huge in a video – when Timmy Turner finally grows up, he ends up marrying Tootie! For those who might not remember, Tootie was totally in love with Timmy throughout the whole series, always hoping he’d feel the same way. It’s also pretty wild to think she’s Vicky’s sister – you know, Vicky, the super mean babysitter who was always causing trouble!
