Jinger Duggar Vuolo said “I do” to the sweetest surprise.
Jinger, known from the show 19 Kids and Counting, received a particularly meaningful Christmas gift from her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, while spending the holidays with family in Arkansas.
On December 28th, Jinger posted a photo to her Instagram Story showing her and Jeremy during the holidays. She explained that Jeremy had gifted her a new wedding band as a Christmas present.
The ring wasn’t the only gift for the 32-year-old. Jeremy, 38, asked his brother-in-law Austin Forsyth—who is married to Joy-Anna Duggar—to perform the ceremony. He also included their children, 7-year-old Felicity, 5-year-old Evangeline, and 9-month-old Finnegan, in the wedding party to present the ring.
Jinger clearly loved the gift, and she later shared a sweet message, writing “I love you” to Jeremy Vuolo online.
This Christmas was particularly special for the former reality star because it was the first one she and her husband, Jeremy, celebrated with the entire Duggar family—including Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar—since their wedding in 2016.
As for why they’ve missed the holiday with her family for nearly a decade?
She explained to Jeremy on their podcast that they haven’t celebrated Christmas Day with his family because that’s the one time of year everyone is able to get together.
Jinger explained that they’ve made it a tradition to always spend Christmas with the Vuolo family.

It wasn’t a hard decision, Jinger explained, because her family already makes an effort to get together often for various occasions.
She explained that they visit each other frequently, making it simple to travel back and forth. Last year, they returned three times for weddings. While they sometimes miss holiday gatherings, they make up for it by attending several weddings throughout the year.
Jinger shared a fun Instagram video on December 25th showing her with her mom and sisters – Joy-Anna, Jill Duggar Dillard, Jessa Duggar Seewald, and Jana Duggar Wissmann – celebrating the holidays together. She captioned it, “Nothing brings the family together like making reels.”

These two lovebirds, who first dated in high school, are now parents to nineteen children and grandparents to more than thirty-six grandchildren.
Michelle remembers accepting a religious faith at age 15. Later, Jim Bob was visiting homes in the neighborhood as part of his church’s outreach program. A friend mentioned a newly religious cheerleader lived at the Ruark family’s house, so Jim Bob went and knocked on their door.
Jim Bob invited Michelle to Sunday school and hoped they could become spiritual mentors to each other, though Michelle doesn’t remember their first encounter very well. A year later, Michelle applied for a job at the frozen yogurt shop owned by Jim Bob’s parents. In a 2017 blog post celebrating their 33rd wedding anniversary and Jim Bob’s birthday, Michelle recalled that he came to the counter where she was working, introduced himself, and shyly asked her to the junior-senior banquet. She remembered him being very sweet, though she didn’t recall much of the conversation itself.
Michelle and Jim Bob first connected at a dinner held at Shiloh Christian, but it was a long conversation about the Bible at her parents’ house that truly sparked their connection. As Michelle described it, that’s when they felt their hearts truly connected. They graduated high school in May 1984 and were married just two months later in July. Michelle was 17 at the time, and Jim Bob was 19.

The couple dedicated themselves to God and each other for the long run.
Jim Bob previously served as a state representative for Arkansas’s sixth district from 1999 to 2002, where he was vice chair of the House Corrections and Criminal Law Subcommittee. He ran for U.S. Senate in 2002 but didn’t win the primary, and also unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination for the Arkansas State Senate’s 35th district in 2006.
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, both real estate agents, are known for their involvement in conservative political and social issues. This has made them both strong advocates for and frequent targets of criticism, particularly related to their show, 19 Kids and Counting (originally 17 Kids and Counting, which began in 2008).
As of October 2024, they were grandparents of 33 with three on the way.

Josh Duggar, the oldest child in the Duggar family, was born on March 3, 1988. Like his parents, he became involved in conservative activism, working with the Family Research Council.
Josh Duggar resigned after old police records from 2015 came to light, detailing accusations that he had sexually abused several girls, including his sisters Jessa and Jill, when he was a teenager. In a June interview with Fox News, Jessa defended her brother, claiming the accusations were exaggerated and untrue. She stated she was one of the victims and therefore could speak to the falsity of the claims, even though some disagreed with her perspective.

His wife, Anna Duggar, whom he married on September 26, 2008, in a ceremony shown on the show 19 Kids and Counting, remained supportive, even after he confessed to infidelity.
In 2016, when he began treatment, his parents described it as an important start to his recovery.
I’ve been following the Duggar family for years, and it’s always been amazing to see their family grow! They started with Mackynzie, born in 2009, then Michael in 2011, and Marcus followed in 2013. Right when the news broke about the scandal, Anna gave birth to their fourth child, Meredith, but sadly, that was also the day TLC canceled 19 Kids. They didn’t stop there, though! Mason Garett arrived in 2017, followed by Maryella Hope in 2019, and most recently, little Madyson Lily in 2021. It’s incredible to watch them raise seven beautiful children!
In April 2021, Josh was indicted by a federal court on charges of receiving and possessing child pornography. He initially pleaded not guilty to both charges. However, in 2022, he was convicted on both counts, though the judge later dismissed the possession charge. He was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison.

Soon after Josh arrived, Michelle became pregnant again, but sadly had a miscarriage. While they were still mourning this loss and seeking direction, Michelle and Jim Bob were overjoyed to discover they were expecting twins.
It felt like a wonderful gift from God,” she shared with Love to Know. “It really encouraged us, and we’re still adjusting. It’s quite rare, especially since I breastfeed, but my children are very close in age – I have a baby, and then I’m pregnant again just eight months later. It’s just another unique part of our journey, and we feel blessed by it.
John-David Duggar and his twin sister Jana Duggar were born on Jan. 12, 1990.

I was so excited when John-David and Abbie-Grace finally got together! They’d actually been aware of each other for years, but they really connected at a church event in Abbie’s home state of Oklahoma. It all happened pretty quickly after that – a sweet courtship, a short engagement, and then they were married on November 3rd, 2018. It was a beautiful time!
They welcomed daughter Grace Annette Duggar on Jan. 7, 2020 and son Charlie Duggar in September 2022.
In a heartwarming message on their 30th birthday in January 2020, Jana reflected on a lifelong question about having a ‘twin connection’ with John – that feeling of sharing each other’s thoughts and emotions. She’d always said they didn’t, but with the birth of their daughter, Gracie, she realized she truly felt John’s joy as if it were her own, confirming that special bond was real.
Jana told them, “It’s lovely seeing you and Abbie as parents – you both seem so natural! You’ve always been a great brother, and that kindness will definitely make you a wonderful father.”
Abbie and John-David discovered in November 2025, at a baby shower shared with expectant mother Jana, that they are having another daughter.

Jana watched eleven of her eighteen siblings get married before she met her husband, Stephen Wissmann. Interestingly, Stephen’s sister, Hannah, is married to Jana’s brother, Jeremiah. Although she sometimes felt frustrated by the wait, Jana believes everything happened according to God’s plan.
Jana explained to People magazine that she’s realized everyone’s life path is different, and she trusts that God has a plan for each of us. That’s why she’s comfortable getting married later in life. ‘If we were all the same, life would be so dull,’ she said, ahead of her wedding on August 15, 2024.
Just over a year later, the couple shared that they’re expecting their first baby.

Jill Dillard (born May 17, 1991) found love in a way similar to her parents. She first met her future husband, Derick, in December 2011 when he and his church group stopped by the Duggar family home while caroling. He grew up about 45 minutes away.
Jim Bob brought Jill and Derick together, and they quickly connected through emails and video calls. That November, Jill and her father visited Derick in Nepal, and their relationship blossomed. Derick formally asked Jim Bob for Jill’s hand in marriage in February 2014, and they were married on June 21st of that year. They now have three sons: Israel, born April 6, 2015, Samuel, born July 8, 2017, and Frederick, born July 7, 2022.
As many of you know, this past April was a really difficult month for my family and me. We were so excited to be expecting our first daughter, but sadly, we experienced a pregnancy loss. It was heartbreaking, and we’ve been navigating that grief ever since.
In the Amazon Prime Video documentary Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets, which debuted in June 2023, Jill and Derick Duggar discussed the controversies and religious beliefs connected to their family.

Jim Bob and Michelle’s fifth child, Jessa Duggar, was born Nov. 4, 1992.
Jessa and Ben met at church, and he began courting her in 2013. This traditional approach to romance was new to many viewers. Because the couple didn’t discuss their relationship before getting engaged, Jim Bob explained to People magazine that courting involves getting to know each other with both families involved, and setting goals together to see if they’re a good match for marriage. He contrasted this with dating, where couples often spend time alone and it can lead to physical intimacy.
Ben asked Jessa’s parents for permission to propose, and then he proposed to her in August 2014 – it was the first time they’d held hands! They married on November 1, 2014. Jessa was pregnant with their first child when their show, 19 Kids and Counting, was canceled. Shortly after, TLC aired a special featuring Jessa and her sister Jill discussing sexual abuse and educating viewers. That winter, Jessa and Jill then starred in their own show, Jill and Jessa: Counting On, which later became Counting On and included other members of the Duggar family.
Jessa and Ben have four children: Spurgeon, born November 5, 2015; Henry, born February 6, 2017; Ivy Jane, born May 28, 2019; and Fern, born in July 2021. They sadly experienced a miscarriage during the 2022 holidays, but welcomed another son, George, in December 2023.
In August 2025, Jessa announced the birth of son Edward.

The sixth Duggar child, Jinger Vuolo, was born Dec. 21, 1993.
Jinger and Jeremy first connected while doing ministry work in Laredo, Texas, and began dating in 2016. They got married on November 5, 2016 – which happened to be Jinger’s nephew Spurgeon’s birthday, but coordinating dates is tricky when you come from a large family of nineteen children! Soon after the wedding, people started speculating that they were expecting a baby.
In June 2017, on the show Counting On, Jinger shared that she and her family hoped to be happily settled in Laredo a year from then, continuing their work serving God in whatever way they could.
I was so happy to hear that Jinger and Jeremy were expanding their family! They announced in May 2018 that they were expecting, but sadly, they’d actually experienced a miscarriage the previous fall. Thankfully, things worked out beautifully, and their sweet daughter Felicity arrived on July 19, 2018. Then, in November 2020, they welcomed another precious little girl, Evangeline Jo, and I was thrilled for them!
Son Finnegan Charles was born March 29, 2025.

Joseph Duggar, born on January 20, 1995, proposed to Kendra Caldwell in May 2017. They had met through church and had been courting for only a few months when he proposed during his sister Joy-Anna’s wedding.
Joseph admitted he was nervous when he proposed, but he felt confident she’d say yes, recalling her telling him, ‘I’m just waiting on you!’ Kendra shared, ‘I’m incredibly happy and totally shocked. I have so much I want to say, but I’m just speechless right now.’
The couple has welcomed three children: Garrett, born in June 2018, Addison, born in November 2019, and Brooklyn, born in February 2021.

Eighth in line, Josiah Duggar was born on Aug. 28, 1996.
After publicly dating for only a few months, the couple announced their engagement in March 2018. He shared that he proposed to Lauren in the same location where her parents had gotten engaged, explaining that the property held a lot of family history and was therefore particularly meaningful to her.
Lauren’s future mother-in-law, Michelle, shared in a video on the family blog how much they adore her, calling her a ‘precious girl.’ Jessa and Ben also congratulated the couple and gave them chocolate candies shaped like hearts and kisses. Michelle jokingly said, ‘I’m guessing you want to save your first kiss for the wedding,’ before offering them the chocolates as a fun alternative.
Josiah previously dated Marjorie Jackson, but they ended their relationship in the summer of 2015. He told People magazine in March 2016 that they had enjoyed their time together and were both trying to discern what God wanted for them. Ultimately, Marjorie didn’t feel the timing was right, so they decided to take a break.
He and Lauren got married on June 30, 2018, and described their wedding day as “absolutely perfect” in an interview with People magazine. They became parents to daughter Bella Milagro on November 8, 2019—a name meaning “miracle baby”—after Lauren experienced a miscarriage in October 2018. The couple expanded their family with another daughter, Daisy, in 2022, and a son named Ezra in May 2023.

Ninth sibling Joy-Anna Duggar was born Oct. 28, 1997.
Oh my gosh, I’ve been following Austin Forsyth forever! Seriously, fifteen years! I knew him as just a friend of the family for so long, and then… then he started courting Joy! It was so fast after that – I mean, he proposed in February 2017 and they were married in May! It was at Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas – you might remember, because that’s where Joseph proposed to Kendra too! It was just the sweetest, most whirlwind romance, and I was SO excited for them!

Joy-Anna and Austin are parents to three children: Gideon Martin Forsyth, born February 23, 2018; Evelyn Mae Forsyth, born August 21, 2020; and Gunner James Forsyth, born May 17, 2023.

Jed and Jeremiah Duggar, the second set of twins born to Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, arrived on December 30, 1998.

Jed and Katey Nakatsu married in April 2021 after dating for a year. They have two children: a son named Truett, born in May 2022, and a daughter named Nora Kate, born in June 2023.
Jed and Katey shared the exciting news in July 2024 that they were expecting twin girls. Elsie Kate and Emma Kate arrived on January 8, 2025.

Jeremiah is a certified flight instructor and is married to Hannah Wissmann, who is the sister of Stephen (Jana’s husband). They have two daughters: Brynley, born in December 2022, and Brielle, born in February 2024.
They announced the arrival of their third daughter, Emery ‘Emy’ Jane Duggar, on May 18, 2025.

No. 12 Jason Duggar was born on April 21, 2000.
Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE this! Back in January 2017, the Daily Mail said Jim Bob totally helped Jase buy a house – a real fixer-upper, but still! It was around $33,000 and it’s in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, which is only about half an hour from the Duggar’s place! And get this – Jase actually started his own construction company because of it! It’s just… amazing to see him building a life for himself!
He publicly announced his relationship with Maddie Grace on Instagram in May 2024, and they got married the next October.

Charmed No. 13, James Duggar was born July 7, 2001.
He’s not dating anyone publicly right now, but he’s a very loving and involved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Mom Michelle described James as the ‘fun uncle’ – someone all the younger boys admire and want to emulate. She wrote this on his 19th birthday in 2019. From a young age, James was always tinkering and building. He’d take apart anything he could find, understand how it worked, and then reassemble it – often with his own creative improvements!
James put in a lot of effort this year to earn his commercial driver’s license, and he’s now skilled at operating large trucks and heavy equipment! We’re excited to see what opportunities lie ahead for him.

No. 14 Justin Duggar arrived on Nov. 15, 2002.
He began dating Claire Spivey in September 2020, and they announced their engagement the following November. They were married on February 26, 2021.

Jackson Duggar, the fifteenth child of Jim Bob and Michelle, was born on May 23, 2004. He’s pictured here with his older sister, Jill.

On Jackson’s sixteenth birthday, his mom, Michelle, complimented his funny personality and said she knew he was eager to get his driver’s license.

Johannah Duggar was born on October 11, 2005, which is why her family was featured in the special called 16 Kids and Moving In.
On her daughter’s fifteenth birthday in 2020, Michelle wrote about how much joy she brings to others and how easily she makes friends. She added that her younger sisters completely idolize her, and Michelle feels blessed to be her mother.

Jennifer Duggar arrived on Aug. 2, 2007, then the baby of the family.
Their TLC show that premiered Sept. 29, 2008, was christened 17 Kids and Counting.

Now, OMG, she’s a teenager.
When her daughter Jennifer turned thirteen, Michelle described her as someone who is reliable, loyal, and a joy to be around! The nieces and nephews adore her – they’re always wanting her to carry them. Jennifer also loves animals and is dedicated to caring for her pets daily. She recently even helped raise a family of seven baby bunnies!

Here on the right, the penultimate Duggar child was born Dec. 18, 2008.

Jordyn-Grace was described by her mom in 2019 as a friendly and sociable person who easily connects with others. Her laugh was also noted as being particularly cheerful and uplifting.

Let me tell you, as someone who’s seen a lot of families, the story of Josie Duggar truly touches my heart. Born on December 10, 2009, she arrived three months early, a tiny little thing weighing just one pound, six ounces. She was a fighter right from the start, spending six months in the NICU getting the care she needed. It’s a beautiful reminder of how precious life is, and how strong babies can be, as you can see here with her holding her sweet niece, Meredith.

Michelle described her daughter, Josie, as incredibly energetic in a birthday post from 2020. She wrote that Josie is constantly on the go, from the moment she wakes up until bedtime.
