Chris Hemsworth May Star in Disney's New Prince Charming Film

As a die-hard fan who has followed Chris Hemsworth‘s acting journey since his days as Kim Hyde on “Home and Away,” I must say I am thrilled by the prospect of him playing Prince Charming! The man can do no wrong when it comes to portraying larger-than-life characters, from Thor to The Huntsman.

Chris Hemsworth might have something new to make life divine.

Actor Chris Hemsworth, known for his role as Thor, is reportedly considering playing the lead character in Disney’s upcoming live-action movie titled Prince Charming, based on reports from various media sources.

TopMob News has reached out to reps for Chris as well as Disney, but has not heard back.

Details about the upcoming film, focusing on Cinderella’s prince, are being tightly guarded and a release date has not been announced as of now. However, it was disclosed last week by Deadline that the director of “Paddington 2” and “Wonka”, Paul King, will be at the helm for this project. The script is penned by Paul King himself, along with Simon Farnaby and Jon Croker – both of whom collaborated with Paul on the script for “Paddington 2”.

Back in 2015, Disney initially planned to produce a film centering around Prince Charming, with a screenplay penned by Matt Fogel. However, it seems that the original plan has since been changed.

If Chris is set to become Prince Charming, the 41-year-old isn’t new to assuming roles in live-action fairy tale adaptations. Previously, he portrayed The Huntsman in the 2012 film “Snow White and the Huntsman” and its 2016 sequel “The Huntsman: Winter’s War,” where Charlize Theron played the antagonist, known as the Evil Queen, but called Ravenna in those films.

Actor from The Avengers has consistently ventured into various acting roles, one of which was providing the voice for Optimus Prime in Transformers One. This animated movie elicited a unique response not only from Chris’ critics but also from his own children: India Rose, 12, and twin sons Sasha and Tristan, aged 10, whom he shares with wife Elsa Pataky.

According to Chris’s recent statement to TopMob News, he absolutely adores it, giving it a perfect rating of five stars, just to make sure it’s clear that he’s using the traditional five-star scale and not the more common ten-point one.

Initially, he had some reservations about the script, but it was the excitement of his kids that eventually convinced him to accept the offer.

He remembered them saying, “‘Transformers’! It needs to be done!” However, he didn’t realize they had watched ‘Transformers’ much, but one tends to overlook its ubiquity across generations.

But as for what they would consider the best movie featuring their dad?

Chris remarked, “It seems like Ragnarok is their preferred choice.” Or, alternatively, “Chris suggested that they often rewatch Ragnarok, likely making it their favorite.
