There’s a rumor going around that Marvel fans might have been misled. Korea’s Media Rating Board suggests a fifth trailer for Avengers: Doomsday is coming, lasting one minute and five seconds. This is surprising, as we previously believed there would only be four short teasers before the full trailer is revealed during the Super Bowl.
A reliable source, Cryptic4k, is questioning the claim of a fifth trailer, stating they were firmly told only four were planned. Furthermore, community feedback on the tweet announcing the fifth trailer suggests that two of the existing trailers might simply be slightly different cuts of the same footage. Therefore, this new information should be viewed with skepticism.

Fans had mixed reactions about whether a hidden trailer was coming soon. Some speculated that Marvel might release a new trailer each week leading up to the Super Bowl, focusing on different characters and teams involved in the upcoming conflict, and then finally reveal a full trailer with Doom during the Super Bowl. Others weren’t convinced, suggesting the recent footage was simply a teaser for the X-Men. One fan even joked that the studio would essentially release the entire movie through trailers before its official release.
So far, we’ve seen three short trailers, and they all seem to focus on the ideas of family and being a parent. The first trailer showed Chris Evans returning as Captain America (Steve Rogers), riding a motorcycle to a white house and happily holding his child. The second featured Thor praying to his father, Odin, hoping to return safely to his daughter, Love, after the upcoming battle. The newest trailer centers on the X-Men, with Charles Xavier and Magneto sitting together, holding hands. Magneto’s voiceover asks, “It’s not about whether you’re ready to die, but who you’ll be when your time comes.” The trailer ends with Cyclops removing his signature goggles, unleashing his powerful red beams from his eyes.
