The ‘s Storm is about to meet the daughter she didn’t think she would ever get the chance to have.
With the end of the Shadows of Tomorrow storyline, Marvel’s X-Men are heading into a new and exciting phase. A significant change is coming for Ororo Munroe, also known as Storm, as she’s about to meet her long-lost daughter.
The young mutant Furaha will officially join the Marvel Comics universe in May with the release of Storm: Earth’s Mightiest Mutant #4. Readers first caught a quick look at her potential in 2025’s X-Men: Hellfire Vigil #1, which showed a brief preview of her powers to both Storm and the audience.
Fans speculate that Wolverine is Furaha’s father, though her parentage hasn’t been officially confirmed. In a short appearance in X-Men: Hellfire Vigil #1, Furaha mentioned inheriting powers – and physical traits like fangs and black hair – from both parents. These similarities strongly suggest a connection to Wolverine, but the full story remains to be seen.

Murewa Ayodele, the writer of the Storm: Earth’s Mightiest Mutant comic, recently shared their excitement about the introduction of the character Furaha into the Marvel Universe. Ayodele expressed their fondness for Furaha, saying fan art of the character is always heartwarming. They were particularly happy to write a scene where Storm and Furaha interact, describing their conversation as genuinely sweet and positive.
Storm’s Journey Isn’t Over In Marvel Comics
The upcoming meeting between Storm and Furaha in Storm: Earth’s Mightiest Mutant #4 will happen during a particularly difficult time for Storm. For the past two years, readers have seen Storm build and maintain the Storm Sanctuary, allowing her to monitor events all over the world.
Becoming a prominent figure as the Storm Sanctuary’s leader unfortunately made Ororo a bigger target, attracting enemies from both Earth and other realms. The past year has been particularly challenging, as she was briefly controlled by the cosmic entity Eternity and then faced a dangerous battle with Susa-No-O-Izumo, a powerful Shinto god of storms and the sea. Instead of killing him, Ororo recently managed to contain him within a separate dimension to protect the world.
Storm: Earth’s Mightiest Mutant #4 from Marvel Comics goes on sale on May 6.
