Fuse Games and Secret Mode just dropped a new trailer for their upcoming racing game, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, during the recent State of Play event. Instead of a long introduction, the trailer immediately jumps into the fast-paced and exciting gameplay. You can watch it below!
In Star Wars: Galactic Racer, you’ll compete in an illegal racing league called the Galactic League, located in the Outer Rim. Kestar Bool currently controls the league through unfair means and connections to the criminal underworld. You play as Shade, a racer seeking revenge against the Bool family, and must challenge Kestar for control.
I’m so excited for Star Wars: Galactic Racer! The developers said there’s going to be a really immersive campaign where your choices actually matter and can unlock new parts and upgrades for your vehicles. And speaking of vehicles, they’re promising a ton of variety – everything from fast skim speeders and speeder bikes to the classic podracers we all remember from The Phantom Menace! It sounds like there’s a lot to customize and collect.
The game will let up to 12 players race together in a variety of modes. If you want a quick challenge, there’s an Arcade mode with time trials and a focus on skillful driving, and a Scenarios mode that offers races with special conditions.
The arcade racing game Star Wars: Galactic Racer will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S later in 2024. You can watch the game’s announcement trailer, originally released in December, to get a first look.
