Demon Slayer Returns With a Surprise New Anime Ahead of Infinity Castle Part 2

I remember 2025 being a huge year for Demon Slayer. The first movie in what was planned as a three-part series really broke records at the box office. It came out in Japan in July and then spread internationally in September, eventually earning over 100 billion yen! It quickly became the highest-grossing anime film ever, so everyone was really excited to see where the story would go next. Unfortunately, we haven’t gotten any news about the remaining movies yet. In the meantime, Aniplex released a fun, original anime short on YouTube starring Tengen Uzui and his wives. It was a pretty unique message – they were reminding everyone to be polite at the theater, like not kicking seats or making noise!

Although the movie Demon Slayer sometimes has special screenings where fans can openly cheer, this is unusual – most theaters have standard rules about noise. This 47-second clip starts with a quick look at the movie itself, then shows Tengen and his wives watching it in the theater. Tengen is a very popular character – known as the Sound Hashira – but he doesn’t actually fight in this film. He’s retired after defeating Gyutaro (ranked Upper Six) and is now enjoying a peaceful life with his wives while still supporting the Demon Slayer Corps.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Trilogy Hasn’t Shared Any New Updates Yet

The first part of the Infinity Castle saga centers around battles featuring Zenitsu, Tanjiro, Giyu, and Shinobu. With those fights finished, the story will now shift to other characters—like Kanao Tsuyuri and the remaining Hashira—who are also stuck inside the castle.

Demon Slayers are in a frantic search for Muzan Kibutsuji, hoping to stop his reign of terror. However, the powerful Upper Moons constantly block their path. The intense battles against these Upper Moons happen within the Infinity Castle Arc, leading into the final showdown, the Sunrise Countdown, where Muzan faces the entire Demon Slayer Corps alone. While the second part of the story is taking longer to release than anticipated, fans are still waiting for news on when the first part will be available for streaming, as no date has been announced months after its initial release.

Although most cinemas around the world have stopped showing the film, Japan continues to screen it monthly, which is delaying its release on streaming services. It looks like these screenings will go on for a few more months, meaning we probably won’t see it online until later in the year. As for the anime series itself, there aren’t any big plans beyond the film, but several Japanese TV channels, including Fuji TV, will begin airing the entire series – excluding the recent movie – starting in April.
