Bridgerton’s Yerin Ha explains how surprise end credits scene is touching nod to Sophie’s story

*Warning: This article contains full spoilers for the Bridgerton season 4 part 2 finale.*

The latest installment of Bridgerton season 4 includes a fun post-credits scene that viewers shouldn’t skip – it’s definitely worth watching!

The scene after the credits shows Benedict and Sophie getting married, following their engagement earlier in the episode at the Queen’s lavish ball.

Even though the scene of the couple dancing in the moonlight at midnight felt like a perfect, romantic ending, Bridgerton keeps finding ways to create even more touching and heartwarming moments.

The wedding brought the Bridgerton family together, and it was also a special opportunity for Sophie’s close friends and loved ones to celebrate as she began a new phase of her life.

Ha spoke to TopMob about the wedding, saying it was lovely and that Alfie walking the bride down the aisle symbolized that family isn’t about blood, but about the people you choose. She added that the bride has had trouble letting people in, but that love is all around us if you’re open to seeing it.

It’s funny, trying on a wedding dress makes you think, ‘I should wear this every day!’ Being there, actually getting married, felt right. And having Jonathan, Simone, and everyone we love there to celebrate with us… it was the perfect way to finish the show, I think.

He also mentioned that the crew dressed up for the occasion, with everyone asked to wear nice shirts, which contributed to the celebratory atmosphere. He thought it was a really thoughtful touch.

Viewers are still enjoying the romance between Benedict and Sophie, but many are already wondering which Bridgerton sibling will be the star of future seasons. Luckily, the show’s creator, Jess Brownell, has already announced the focus for seasons 5 and 6.

Speaking with Deadline at the premiere of Stranger Things season four part one, the actress revealed that both characters represented by the initials on her pocket squares will appear in seasons five and six, though she wouldn’t say which character will appear first.

The pocket squares worn by Brownell in the video have the initials ‘E’ and ‘F’ on them, representing Eloise and Francesca. This suggests that one of these Bridgerton sisters will be the focus of the next season. We’ll have to wait to find out which one!
