Netflix is bringing the funny this February! They’ve been adding lots of new shows all month, including two seasons of a critically acclaimed comedy guaranteed to have you laughing with its quick wit and memorable characters.
As a big fan of comedy, I was thrilled to see the final two seasons of Brooklyn Nine-Nine finally hit Netflix! Seasons 7 and 8 became available on February 26th, giving us 23 more episodes to enjoy. It’s a bit of a revolving door with this show on Netflix – seasons come and go – and right now seasons 5 through 8 are all up there. But knowing how Netflix works, they won’t stay forever, so I’m definitely planning a binge-watching session while I still can!
Brooklyn Nine-Nine Keeps the Laughs Coming
As a comedy fan, let me tell you, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is one of those shows that just kills me with laughter. Seriously, I’ve cried from laughing so hard! What makes it so great is how it balances the silly stuff happening at work with genuinely lovable characters. They’re all so different, but their relationships feel so real and funny. Think about the insane Halloween Heists every year, or Jake Peralta constantly referencing Die Hard – that guy is a kid at heart! And Captain Holt? His dry, serious delivery is legendary – “call me Velvet Thunder” is an all-timer. Honestly, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a modern comedy classic, and even now, years later, it’s still one of the funniest shows I’ve seen in ages.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine wasn’t just a consistently funny show, it was consistently well-made. Its success came from perfectly blending hilarious comedy with meaningful and relatable stories, all brought to life by a fantastic cast. Over its eight seasons, the show earned incredible reviews – a 95% average score from critics and an 88% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Even the final two seasons, now on Netflix, weren’t bad – they still received an 89% critic score, which is respectable, though slightly lower than the show’s peak in Seasons 2, 4, 5, and 6 when it achieved a perfect 100%.
Other TV Shows Now on Netflix
As a Netflix lover, I have to say February was a fantastic month! Usually, they load up on movies, but this February was all about bringing back shows we already adore. It started with new seasons of Heartland and The Way Home, and then just kept going! They added entire series like the new Night Court, the hilarious Search Party, and even the classic What I Like About You. Plus, we got fresh seasons of Netflix originals like The Lincoln Lawyer and, of course, everyone’s favorite, Bridgerton! It was a great month to be a TV fan.
