Kate Middleton deserves a crown for her diplomacy. 

During a visit to Powys, Wales on February 26th with Prince William, Princess Kate politely declined a fan’s request for an autograph to follow royal rules.

In a video released by Hello! on February 27th, Kate was greeting people to celebrate community spirit before St. David’s Day. When a fan asked her for an autograph with a pen, she kindly explained that she wasn’t able to sign it at that time.

“I’m really sorry, but I’m unable to sign anything,” she explained in the video, “However, I’m happy to shake your hand.”

He gladly accepted her offer, and they shared a quick hug after shaking hands before Kate moved on to greet the rest of the people waiting.

The 44-year-old was telling the truth when she said she couldn’t sign an autograph. Royal family members aren’t allowed to sign things in public because of the danger of their signatures being faked.
