Nintendo Switch Online Reveals New Game Boy Advance Game Releasing Soon

Nintendo recently announced the next Game Boy Advance game coming to its Switch Online service. While Nintendo Switch Online hasn’t received many GBA games lately – only five have been added since the beginning of 2025, including popular titles like Wario Land 4 and Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones – Nintendo plans to add another game within the next week.

I’m pretty excited! Nintendo is adding the original Mario vs. Donkey Kong to Nintendo Switch Online on March 10th. It was first released way back in 2004 and actually started the whole puzzle-platformer series we’ve seen so many of since then. They even completely remade it last year in 2024, but if you want to play the classic version, it’s going to be a lot easier to get your hands on now with Switch Online.

Nintendo is releasing Mario vs. Donkey Kong on Switch Online on March 10th to celebrate Mario Day. This annual event honors everything related to Super Mario. While Nintendo may have other plans for the celebration in 2026, adding Mario vs. Donkey Kong to Switch Online is currently the biggest event planned.

This Isn’t the Only Switch Online Game Releasing Soon

In addition to Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Nintendo is adding Mario Tennis and Mario Clash to the Nintendo Switch Online service. Both games will be available in the Virtual Boy section. Virtual Boy games were recently added to Switch Online last month, and Nintendo promised more titles would be coming in 2026. They’ve quickly followed through, increasing the total number of Virtual Boy games available on the service to nine.

Just a heads-up: to play these games, you’ll need the more expensive Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership. If you don’t have it yet, a yearly subscription costs $49.99.
