Foreign Gnomes is creating a new game called Everhood Hunters. It’s a rhythm-based roguelike – meaning it features procedurally generated levels and a focus on music – and is part of the Everhood series. Players can expect it on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in 2027.
“This is truly the game we’ve always dreamed of creating,” explained Chris Nordgren, co-founder of Foreign Gnomes, in a recent announcement. He shared that he and Jordi Roca gained valuable experience collaborating over the years, and their initial ideas evolved into something extraordinary. Beyond improved combat, the unique and imaginative storytelling of Everhood is fully realized in Everhood Hunters. The team is excited for players to experience the game’s universe together.”

Here is an overview of the game, via Foreign Gnomes:
Okay, so you think you’re a skilled hunter? We’ll see about that! You get to choose from four different characters, and each one plays totally differently. Get ready for some awesome musical battles – it’s all about timing and hitting hard to the beat! The soundtrack is killer, with 70 brand new tracks plus a bunch of favorites if you’ve played Everhood or Everhood 2 before.
Think things sound a little too familiar? Oh, ho, ho—how naive, little hunter!
Join forces with a friend and dive into a roguelite adventure in the world of Everhood! Work together to solve puzzles and defeat the source of all evil. Explore twisting paths packed with combat, treasure, shops, places to rest, challenging enemies, and secrets even we don’t fully know about. Battle bizarre creatures and team up to reach the top of the weekly leaderboards.
Move to the rhythm of life and avoid waves of musical energy. Collect enough energy without interruption to launch a powerful attack – the more notes you gather, the stronger it becomes. Collect enemy souls to unlock new items and gear, making each playthrough a unique experience permanently saved within the world of Everhood.
