Pink Reacts to Olympian Chloe Kim Mistaking Her for Kelly Clarkson

Pink never wants Chloe Kim to feel like she’s less than perfect.

The Grammy-winning artist was very gracious after the Olympic snowboarder mistakenly thought she was Kelly Clarkson while the singer was filling in as a guest host on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

On the March 3rd episode, Chloe shared with Pink that she was a big fan of her music as a young teenager, saying she loved listening to it when she was around 12 or 13 years old. She prefaced this by asking if she could share something personal.

The woman, age 25, tried to show her enthusiasm by singing the chorus of “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You),” but Pink gently corrected her, explaining it wasn’t one of her songs.

“That’s Kelly Clarkson,” she said with a laugh. “But that’s fine ‘cause I’m Kelly Clarkson today.”

The gold medalist was clearly embarrassed by her mistake and quickly apologized to Pink, 46, mentioning how much she also enjoyed songs like “Fkin’ Perfect.”

“Oh, I’m sorry. Oh my gosh,” Chloe said. “Wait guys, I’m so embarrassed. I’m so sorry.”

Pink kept laughing and reached over to hug Chloe, explaining, “I just woke up – I took a nap and only had about five minutes before coming on!”

“But no, I love your music,” she added. “I do.”

Pink has been temporarily hosting Kelly Clarkson’s talk show this week while Kelly prepares to finish out its seventh season. Although some viewers thought Pink might become the permanent host—especially after she and her family relocated to New York—Pink has confirmed that she’s only filling in for a short time.

Pink recently addressed rumors circulating online, clarifying in a now-deleted Instagram video that she is not taking over The Kelly Clarkson Show.

I’m helping out my friend Kelly with something enjoyable,” she explained. “If I were interested in hosting a talk show, it wouldn’t require an audition – I’d simply have one, and it would be fantastic. It’s not something I’m actively pursuing given how busy I am right now.

Pink explained that her family moved to New York because her 14-year-old daughter, Willow, wanted to pursue theater.

Oh my gosh, you guys, I just heard Pink talking and she said the reason they moved? It’s because she’s an incredible mom, seriously! But also, and this is the best part, she wants Willow to be able to pursue her dream of theater and, like, actually experience Broadway! It’s so sweet and she’s just the coolest, thinking about Willow’s future like that. And little Jameson, of course – she’s amazing to both of her kids and her relationship with Carey Hart is just goals!

Pink isn’t the only celebrity who’s left Hollywood. Here are some other stars who have chosen to step away from the film industry…

After 19 seasons, The Ellen DeGeneres Show ended in 2022 following accusations of a negative and harmful workplace. These claims led to an internal investigation, the firing of several executives, and widespread public criticism.

Ellen made a comeback with her last standup comedy show, For Your Approval, which premiered on Netflix in September 2024. Before the show aired, she announced her plans to retire from Hollywood.

I was so sad to hear Ellen say that her current tour, ‘Ellen’s Last Stand…Up,’ really is going to be her last. She told the audience that after her upcoming Netflix special, she’s officially retiring from stand-up. It’s a huge loss for all of us fans, but I respect her decision and wish her all the best!

You know, after a lot of thought, Portia and I decided to make the Cotswolds our permanent home. We really solidified that decision back in November 2024, especially after the election results. I shared this with Richard Bacon when we chatted at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham last July – it just felt like the right move for us.

She raved about the English countryside, telling the BBC it was “absolutely beautiful” and unlike anything she was used to. She especially loved the charming villages, towns, and architecture, noting it felt like a more relaxed and simple way of life.

“It’s just a nicer place,” Ellen explained. “They treat animals well, and everyone is so friendly. We really love living here. We moved in November, which wasn’t the best timing, but I finally got to see snow! Portia brought her horses with her, and I have chickens. We even had sheep for a couple of weeks.”

Tyra Banks, the host of America’s Next Top Model, decided to move to Australia partly to focus on her ice cream company, SMiZE and Dream. She explained on Today with Jenna & Friends that her business had been primarily supplying ice cream to places like airlines and cruise ships, and she was frequently traveling to Australia where a large production facility was making her recipes. She grew to love the country with each visit.

She also recognized Australia as a promising market for her product, noting that the top three ice cream-consuming countries are America, New Zealand, and Australia.

Ultimately, the supermodel relocated to Australia with her son, York (whose father is her ex, Erik Asla), and her boyfriend, Louis Bélanger-Martin, saying that Australia has been a wonderful experience for her and her family.

Eva Longoria, known for her role on Desperate Housewives, has moved from Los Angeles and now splits her time between Mexico and Spain with her husband, José Bastón, and their son, Santiago. She explained to Marie Claire that while she spent her adult life in Los Angeles, the city had changed, and the pandemic accelerated her decision to leave. She cited issues like homelessness and taxes as contributing factors, though she doesn’t want to criticize California.

Longoria clarified in an interview on The View: Behind the Table podcast that her move wasn’t politically motivated by President Trump’s election. Instead, it stemmed from work opportunities, including filming Land of Women in Catalonia and Searching for Mexico, which led to extended stays in Spain. She feels fortunate to be able to leave the U.S. when many Americans aren’t so lucky, and expresses anxiety and sadness for those who are stuck in what she describes as a ‘dystopian country’.

Despite the move, Longoria remains active in her career, with recent roles in Only Murders in the Building and Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip.

Actor Richard Gere has relocated from Chicago to Spain with his family. He shared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in November 2024 that his wife, Alejandra Silva, who is from Galicia, encouraged the move, and they plan to live in Madrid for several years. Gere is thrilled about the opportunity for their young sons, Alexander and James, to thrive in a bilingual environment. He also has an adult son, Homer, with his former partner, Carey Lowell. According to an interview with Elle España in January 2025, the entire family is very happy and doing well in Spain. He stated they are currently experiencing a very positive chapter in their lives.

Singer Christina Milian and her family have officially made Paris their home. Married to French singer Matt Pokora for over seven years, the couple previously spent half the year traveling between the US and France. They decided to fully relocate so their children – Violet (from a previous marriage), and sons Isaiah and Kenna – could attend school in France. Milian feels it’s a fantastic opportunity for them to learn the language and experience a new culture. She shared with TopMob that her kids are thriving, she’s enjoying an active lifestyle, and she’s able to balance work with family life effectively, working ahead of schedule to accommodate the time difference. Overall, the family is very happy with their life in Paris.

Lindsay Lohan is frustrated by the ongoing speculation surrounding her departure from Los Angeles. She recently explained that her busy career and social life in the early 2000s were often overshadowed by intense media attention. In a March 2024 interview with Bustle, she said she wished the focus had remained on her work, but the constant paparazzi coverage created a narrative that spiraled out of control, prompting her desire for a more private life. While she moved to London and then Dubai, also starting beach clubs in Greece, she sought a life away from the spotlight to allow her work to speak for itself.

Lindsay Lohan admitted she worried she might never find love, wondering if it would ever happen for her. She realized she needed to focus on herself before things could fall into place and she could embrace the opportunities she truly wanted.

Fortunately, she did find love with Bader Shammas, marrying him in 2022 and welcoming their son, Luai, in 2023.

Although they currently live in Dubai, Lindsay hasn’t left acting behind, recently appearing in films like Our Little Secret, Irish Wish, and Freakier Friday.

I’ve been following Josh’s career for years, and I was really interested to hear about his decision to step away from Hollywood. He explained it wasn’t just about the location, but the whole mindset that comes with it. He told People magazine that being constantly surrounded by talk of movies just wasn’t what he wanted for his life. He craved something more – a life filled with people doing all sorts of different things, something to challenge him and help him grow. That’s what he calls the ‘spice of life’! So, he, his wife Tamsin Egerton, and their four kids made a big move to the countryside in Hampshire, England. He recently told The Guardian that time really flies with a big family, and while it might seem like less is happening on the surface, actually more of what truly matters is. It’s amazing to see him prioritize family and a more balanced life, and it hasn’t stopped him from working either – he’s already appeared in films like Verity, Fight or Flight, and Trap! I admire his choices so much.

Many social media followers may not realize Jesse no longer lives in Los Angeles. In a February 2025 interview with CBS News Sunday Morning, the A Real Pain star revealed he’s lived in Indiana for the past ten years, finding it a more comfortable environment. He explained he prefers to avoid the instability of the entertainment industry.

Despite being an Oscar nominee, Jesse lives a surprisingly ordinary life with his wife, Anna Strout, and their son, Banner. He avoids social media and doesn’t spend much time networking with industry professionals. He feels this distance allows him to live a more grounded life, especially since his wife is a teacher and his son isn’t particularly interested in movies. This helps him avoid constantly worrying about his standing within the industry.

Eliza, known for her roles in shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the movie Bring It On, announced in September 2024 that she’s now a certified psychedelic-assisted therapist and is continuing her education in the field of mental health.

She explained to Boston Magazine that she was able to change her life’s path to prioritize her own well-being, with the goal of then helping others heal. She felt it was important to share the positive changes she’d experienced – the peace and renewed passion she felt – because she now understood this was truly her life’s work.

The actress best known for playing a character in The Flintstones shared that she moved to Ireland with her son, Clay, in January 2025. She’s working on becoming an Irish citizen because her grandparents were from there. While she mentioned current political events as a factor in her decision to move, she hasn’t ruled out the possibility of returning to her home country someday.

In a TikTok video, she shared that she misses her children, her friends, and many aspects of her life back home. She’s currently working on building a new life in this country, and they’ll think about returning to America when it’s a safe and equitable place for everyone.

Evangeline Lilly, known for her role in Ant-Man and the Wasp, has said she’s stepping away from acting for an unspecified amount of time. This comes after two decades working in the film industry.

In a June 2024 Instagram post, Evangeline shared how happy and peaceful she feels while pursuing her dreams. She expressed gratitude for her good fortune, explaining that while choosing a path less traveled – one that doesn’t prioritize money and recognition – can be daunting, it ultimately leads to a deeper sense of purpose and satisfaction.

However, she’s not ruling out a return to Hollywood completely, saying, “I could see myself going back someday, but right now, I’m happy where I am.”

As someone who keeps a close eye on what celebrities are up to, I’ve noticed Paul Wesley hasn’t taken on a major acting role since his Netflix series, V-Wars, back in 2019. But he hasn’t been idle! He’s been pouring his energy into something incredibly important: fighting climate change by focusing on soil health. It’s a passion project he’s really dedicated to, and it’s inspiring to see him use his platform for such a vital cause.

Ian, who has two children with his wife Nikki Reed, took a break from acting over four years ago to focus on his family, develop his businesses, and get his films released. He was discussing the launch of his 2020 documentary, Kiss the Ground, and its sequel, Common Ground, both of which highlight the importance of regenerative farming. He shared this with TopMob News in November 2023.

Looking ahead, the actor said he plans to become a rancher and focus on building lasting brands – including his bourbon and wellness company. He’s deeply committed to sustainable farming and healthy soil practices, which are central to his and his family’s lifestyle. He explained that this is his long-term vision and the reason behind his passions. He stated, ‘This is who I am, and this is what I’m working towards.’

In a February 2021 episode of her podcast, Empty Inside, former iCarly star Jennette McCurdy shared with guest Anna Faris that she had quit acting a few years prior. She’s now pursuing writing and directing, alongside hosting the podcast.

Jennette recently shared that she regrets many of the acting roles she took in the past, detailing her feelings in her 2022 memoir, I’m Glad My Mom Died. She explained that she often feels dissatisfied with her career and found the parts she played to be cheesy and embarrassing. Having worked on those shows from age 13 to 21, she was already self-conscious about her work by the time she was 15, feeling it wasn’t something her peers admired.

Despite past difficulties, she hasn’t ruled out returning to acting. She explained to TopMob News in October 2022 that writing her book helped her consider acting in a new light, free from old pressures. She feels the only way she might consider it again would be if she wrote a role specifically for herself.

It seemed like a clear choice. The chance to marry Prince Harry, devote ourselves to causes we care about, and even wear the Queen’s tiaras would make leaving Hollywood totally worth it.

Similar to Grace Kelly’s journey from Hollywood to Monaco, Meghan Markle transitioned from her acting career in Toronto, where she starred in the show Suits, to a life within the British Royal Family. Now that she and Prince Harry have stepped down as senior royals and live in California, Meghan is returning to professional life. This includes a production deal with Netflix, where she released the 2022 docuseries Harry & Meghan and will launch the lifestyle show With Love, Meghan in 2025. She has also started a podcast and launched her brand, As Ever.

After starring in over 40 films since she began her career with 1994’s The Mask, the actress really needed a rest when she finished filming Annie in 2014.

She told Gwyneth Paltrow that she realized she wanted a different lifestyle. After years of intense work and filmmaking, she felt burnt out. Making movies, she explained, is incredibly demanding – it’s a total commitment that takes over your life, requiring long hours and leaving no room for anything else.

Cameron Diaz had many interests she wanted to pursue, including writing – she followed up her 2013 bestseller, The Body Book, with The Longevity Book in 2016 – and starting a family with her husband, Benji Madden. While she told InStyle in 2019 that she didn’t miss acting and was focused on wellness, it seems she might be open to returning to performing at least one more time.

Jamie Foxx explained to TopMob News how they convinced Cameron Diaz to star in the 2025 Netflix movie Back in Action. He said they practically pleaded with her, saying, ‘Just give the fans one more film!’ Foxx also shared their excitement, adding, ‘We adore her, we’ve been waiting for her to return, and this is going to be amazing.’

The actor stated firmly that he wouldn’t return to the show after completing his five years on Empire. When Extra asked Terrence Howard about his plans before the sixth and final season aired in 2019, he said, “I’m finished with acting. I’m done with pretending.”

You know, as I’ve navigated my own career, I’ve really learned when it’s time to step back and make room for the next generation. That’s exactly what’s happening with me. While I did a few projects here and there, I officially announced my plans to retire from acting in 2022 while promoting my series, The Best Man: The Final Chapters on Peacock. I truly feel like I’ve given everything I have to the craft, and honestly, I’m at a point where I’d rather enjoy watching new talent shine. I don’t want to just keep repeating myself – it’s time to let fresh voices take the stage.

Okay, so even after all the negativity, I’ve been tracking everything, and I’m SO excited because Michael Howard hasn’t disappeared! He was in this awesome TV series, Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist, and then he was in a Netflix movie, Shirley! I’ve been checking constantly, and it looks like he has a bunch more projects coming up too! Seriously, I can’t wait to see what he does next – he’s amazing!

After playing Joffrey on Game of Thrones, and especially after that dramatic ending in 2014, I decided it was time for a change. I’d been acting since I was a little kid, starting at age eight, but honestly, the joy had started to fade. It felt like the right moment to step away and explore other things.

Jack wasn’t a child star anymore, and some of the initial excitement had faded. He explained that now that acting could become a career, it felt different than when he did it just for fun with friends. He still enjoyed it, but making a living from something changed how he felt about it. It wasn’t that he disliked acting, he simply didn’t see it as his desired profession.

After taking six years off, Jack returned to acting in 2020 with a role in the BBC series Out of Her Mind. Since then, he’s also been in films such as Rebecca’s Boyfriend and In the Land of Saints and Sinners, and TV shows including Safe Harbor and The Famous Five.

When Jennifer Aniston, known for her role in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, married actor Kevin Kline in 1989, they decided to stagger their work schedules. This arrangement allowed them to both be available to care for their children, Owen and Greta, who is now a singer performing as Frankie Cosmos. Kline shared this parenting plan with Playboy magazine.

He added that Phoebe has consistently prioritized staying home with her children whenever she was scheduled to work. While she made a brief appearance in her friend Jennifer Jason Leigh’s 2001 independent film, The Anniversary Party, Cates mainly focuses on running her boutique, Blue Tree, in New York City.

During the peak of his popularity with films like Ghostbusters and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, the actor took a break from making movies after his wife sadly passed away from breast cancer in 1991. He wanted to dedicate his time to raising his children, Rachel and Mitchell.

Despite not appearing in a live-action film since 1997 – he even turned down a brief appearance in the 2016 Ghostbusters remake – Rick remains a beloved figure, as shown by the strong reaction to news of an assault he experienced while walking in New York City in 2020.

Good news for fans is on the way: he’s returning to the screen with Josh Gad in the upcoming Disney reboot, Shrunk.

After marrying fashion designer Adam Kimmel in 2010, actress Drew Barrymore suggested she was considering stepping back from acting. She told Vogue that most roles require intimate scenes, and she wasn’t comfortable with that. While she felt her relationship was strong enough to withstand potentially difficult situations, she believed any role she took on needed to be truly exceptional to justify the challenges.

After her son, Martin, joined his sister, Louisanna, in 2014, she firmly decided to step away from acting. She told Us Weekly in 2016 that she felt like an outsider in the movie industry and was now focused on being a mom. She explained she supports her husband, Kimmel, with his work and enjoys painting as a hobby, but her children are her main priority and the primary reason she stopped acting.

She’d starred in popular shows like Ally McBeal, Nip/Tuck, Arrested Development, and Scandal. After those roles, the Australian actress began to feel like it was time for a change.

Turning 45, I started thinking about trying something completely new and challenging,” she shared on her wife Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show in 2018. “I had a good idea of what my acting career would look like for the next decade or two, so I decided to leave it behind and start my own business.”

She was almost done with her art business, General Public – just one final piece remained to complete it.

I spoke with Mitch Hurwitz, the creator of Arrested Development, and told him I was finished with acting, so I wouldn’t be in a potential season five. He was very understanding and supportive, and we had a good talk. Surprisingly, he ended up writing me into five episodes anyway.

It’s understandable why, after winning three Oscars, an actor might consider their career complete. Following his sixth Academy Award nomination for his 2017 film, Phantom Thread, the actor announced through his representative that he was retiring from acting. The statement expressed his gratitude to colleagues and fans over the years, and clarified that this was a personal decision, with no further comments to be made.

Just as Daniel Day-Lewis had announced his retirement from acting, a new project drew him back in. In October 2024, Focus Features revealed he would star in Anemone, a film he co-wrote with his son, Ronan Day-Lewis, who will also be directing.

After finding fame on Good Luck Charlie, she decided to focus on her education in 2018. She went on to earn both a master’s degree and a PhD from MIT, and she also attended Harvard Law School.

On top of everything else, Bridgit founded Northwood Space, a company building ground stations for sending and receiving data from satellites. She became the CEO of Northwood Space in February 2023.
