Lana Condor, known for her role in the To All The Boys movies, is reprising her character as Lara Jean Song Covey in the new series, XO, Kitty.
Following the movie series, Netflix continued the story with a TV show centered around Kitty Song Covey, Lara Jean’s younger sister. The show follows Kitty as she navigates life while attending a special school, the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS), in South Korea.
After five years, fan favorite Condor will return in season 3 of XO, Kitty, premiering on April 2nd with eight new episodes. Netflix announced the news on X (formerly Twitter), and also shared that the trailer will drop on March 9th.
Netflix shared an exciting announcement with the caption, “Kitty Covey? Yes! Lara Jean Covey??? YES! XO, KITTY trailer Monday? YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!” They also posted a short video clip. In the clip, Min-ho Moon (played by Sang Heon Lee) is walking and calls out, “Covey?” When two people turn around, it’s revealed to be Kitty and Lara Jean.
We still don’t know what Condor looks like or the reason Lara Jean is reconnecting with her sister.
In the movie To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Lana Condor plays a teenager who secretly writes love letters to boys she likes, but never sends them. However, her little sister, Kitty (played by Anna Cathcart), accidentally mails the letters, causing the boys to find out how Lara Jean feels about them.
Okay, so by the time the credits rolled, Peter Kavinsky – Noah Centineo, who totally nailed the role – finally lets his guard down and tells her how he truly feels. It leads to a really sweet kiss, and honestly, it was a moment a lot of us were waiting for! It felt genuine and earned after everything they’d been through.
In the second movie, To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, Lara Jean and Peter are figuring out how to be a couple. Things get complicated when John Ambrose McClaren, someone Lara Jean used to have a crush on, shows up and creates a love triangle.
The last movie in the series, To All the Boys: Always and Forever, follows Lara Jean and Peter as they try to navigate a relationship after graduating and going their separate ways.
The three movies in the To All the Boys series are all based on books by Jenny Han, published between 2014 and 2017. The films have generally been well-received by critics, earning scores between 78% and 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.
The Netflix series XO, Kitty has been well-received, earning an 82% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The cast includes Anna Cathcart, Minyeong Choi, Gia Kim, Anthony Keyvan, Peter Thurnwald, Regan Aliyah, Philippe Lee, Sule Thelwell, and Hojo Shin.
Noah Centineo isn’t the only actor from To All The Boys who shows up in XO, Kitty. He returned as Peter to help Kitty with her feelings for Min-ho in season two, and Janel Parrish also made an appearance, reprising her role as Lara Jean and Kitty’s sister, Margot.
Season 3 of XO, Kitty will likely center around Kitty’s final year of high school, but unexpected events could disrupt her plans and create challenges.
XO, Kitty season 3 will be released on Netflix on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
