Three years after its release, players of Hogwarts Legacy have found a hidden area within Hogwarts castle. While a few players may have already stumbled upon it, the discovery is new to many, especially considering how easily it can be missed. It’s likely that the vast majority of players, those who don’t play as often or intensely, never found this secret spot.
The real highlight of Hogwarts Legacy is Hogwarts itself. Avalanche Software did an incredible job of bringing the iconic Harry Potter school to life with amazing detail. Given how large Hogwarts is, there’s a lot to discover. The game cleverly unlocks different sections of the school as you progress through the story, which means it’s easy to overlook hidden areas. Many players find they need to play through the game multiple times to truly find everything. For example, one fan didn’t discover a hidden elf living space until their second playthrough.
“I Didn’t Know You Could Find Them”
A popular post on the Hogwarts Legacy Reddit page highlights a particularly charming moment in the game. The player who shared it mentioned they didn’t discover this spot until their second time playing, which explains why many commenters were surprised it even existed.
If you’re curious about this hidden spot but don’t want to search for it yourself, go to the Kitchens near the Hufflepuff common room entrance and find the portrait of fruit. However, keep in mind that you can only reach this area after completing Jackdaw’s quest – that’s why many people overlook it.
This new find builds on a previous, unusual discovery related to the book ‘Half-Blood Prince’. Specifically, players recently found a famous location from the book hidden within the game.
