Pawn Stars’ Rick Harrison Says Son Didn’t Need Help With Medical Bills

Rick Harrison is claiming son Corey Harrison’s medical bills are covered.

Following a motorcycle accident in January that left him injured, Corey’s friend Aaron Chambers started a GoFundMe to help cover his expenses. Now, Corey’s father says that all of the 42-year-old’s medical bills have been taken care of.

Rick told Page Six on March 6th that he had already covered all of Corey’s medical expenses before the GoFundMe campaign was launched. He added that Corey is a responsible adult in his 40s and manages his own money.

However, the fundraising page states that Corey’s financial difficulties have increased due to the costs of his medical treatment, and they are hoping to raise $100,000 to help.

Corey returned to Tulum in early March 2026, but he’s still struggling financially, according to a GoFundMe page created by Aaron. He’s currently three months behind on rent and needs ongoing medical care and medication. He isn’t well enough to return to the United States for further treatment and support from his family just yet.

Rick made his statement almost two months after Corey shared that he had broken eleven ribs in a motorcycle accident.

I was really worried when I saw Corey’s Instagram post from January 26th! He shared some pictures of his injuries after a crash, but thankfully said he was doing okay. He pointed out how helpful his crash bars were – they definitely saved him from even worse injuries. He ended up spending three nights in the hospital and suffered 11 broken ribs, which is just awful, but it’s a relief to hear he’s on the mend.

I was so worried when I heard about Corey! Thankfully, a source told Entertainment Weekly that Rick already went to see him, and he’s expected to make a full recovery. He’ll need to rest in bed for about six weeks to heal properly, but that’s great news overall.

Corey shared that his recovery will unfortunately mean he’ll have to miss his father’s wedding, saying, “Sorry, Dad, I won’t be able to make it.”

This frightening incident happened just weeks after Rick married Agripina “Angie” Polushkin in Las Vegas on January 3rd. Rick and his ex-wife, Kim Harrison, shared a son named Adam Harrison, who sadly passed away. He also has a 22-year-old son, Jake Harrison, with his ex-wife, Tracy Harrison.

Rick explained to People magazine that they had a small, celebratory wedding in the U.S. before their larger wedding in Cancun. They wanted something more than just a trip to the courthouse.

Because family and friends were present, Corey likely witnessed his father getting married at least once.

The couple shared their excitement about beginning their married life together and celebrating with loved ones in Las Vegas, as well as at their wedding ceremony later this month.

Corey isn’t alone – many other celebrities have also faced frightening injuries. Here are some stories of stars who have bravely shared their experiences with life-threatening accidents…

In February 2017, Jamie Lynn Spears’ daughter, Maddie Aldridge, then eight years old, was riding an ATV near their home in Louisiana when it overturned into a pond. She was underwater for several minutes before being rescued.

I’ll never forget it. When we finally pulled her out of the water and I saw her, then the paramedics took over, we honestly thought we’d lost her. We truly believed our daughter was gone, as I shared with Maria Menounos on her ‘Better Together’ podcast back in 2020.

Although the extent of her injuries was initially unclear, Maddie regained consciousness and was able to speak after two days. She was back to her everyday life just a few weeks later.

Jamie Lynn shared that she feels incredibly grateful to have her daughter back after a difficult time where they were separated. She expressed relief and joy at being reunited.

During filming of the 2025 action comedy Bride Hard, Rebel Wilson suffered an accidental injury on her final day of shooting. As she explained to Access Hollywood in June 2025, she was hit in the face with a prop gun during a fight scene, resulting in a split nose. She immediately left the set, jokingly wondering how unlucky she could be.

She described being terrified when she was seriously injured in 2023. She needed an ambulance and a plastic surgeon to repair the damage, explaining that without the surgery, she could have been permanently scarred. Thankfully, the surgery was successful and the injury is now barely noticeable.

Jimmy Fallon, the host of The Tonight Show, had a scary accident at home. He tripped and fell, and while trying to grab the counter to break his fall, his ring caught and nearly ripped his finger off.

Doctors hospitalized him for ten days to try and save his finger after a severe injury, which he called a “ring avulsion,” and prevent amputation.

In June 2025, Zane Wach, a seasoned hiker and multi-sport athlete who competes in running, swimming, and triathlons, almost succumbed to altitude sickness while hiking Mount Whitney in California with his father, Ryan Wach.

Ryan told SFGATE that the 14-year-old began having hallucinations, but he was aware they weren’t real. He described seeing things like snowmen and Kermit the Frog.

Ryan had to repeatedly stop his teenage son from walking off the cliff while they were hiking back down the trail. The father explained that his son seemed to be experiencing a break from reality, and they still aren’t sure what caused it. Ryan believes it was likely a combination of factors, including tiredness, lack of sleep, dehydration, and lingering effects from altitude sickness.

Ryan tried to reach Zane three times, but couldn’t quite get to him before his son fell about 120 feet from the cliff. It took six hours for a rescue helicopter from Inyo County to arrive and transport Zane to the hospital in Lone Pine. Doctors stabilized him there and then transferred him to a specialized trauma center for children in Las Vegas, where he was put into a medically induced coma. Thankfully, he eventually started breathing on his own.

Ryan described his teenager’s recovery from a serious accident – including a head injury, broken finger and ankle, and fractured pelvis – as a long journey. He said, ‘We’re still going through it, but he’s going to make it through.’

On New Year’s Day in 2023, actor Jeremy Renner, known for his role in Avengers, was seriously injured while helping a family member. He was using a snowplow near his Lake Tahoe home to pull a stuck vehicle when he got out to speak with someone. The snowplow then started moving and Renner attempted to stop it, ultimately suffering 38 broken bones in the process.

In his 2025 memoir, My Next Breath, he described lying on the ice, his heartbeat slowing. He was exhausted, and no one – not his daughter, sisters, friends, or parents – knew it. After manually breathing for around thirty minutes, a strenuous effort he compared to doing ten to twenty push-ups a minute for half an hour, he passed away.

Let me tell you, I’ve heard some incredible survival stories, and this one truly takes the cake. This man faced a terrifying ordeal – broken bones, serious blood loss, and the real danger of his body shutting down from the cold. He actually felt like he died. Can you imagine? The paramedics arrived to find his heart barely functioning – just 18 beats a minute. To put that in perspective, that’s essentially no pulse at all. It’s a miracle he pulled through.

In May 2025, TikTok creator Emilie Kiser and her husband, Brady, experienced a terrifying ordeal when their 3-year-old son, Trigg, accidentally fell into their pool at their home in Arizona.

On May 12th, Chandler Police responded to a home after a child was found unconscious in a backyard pool. Police and firefighters performed CPR at the scene before transporting the toddler, identified as Trigg, to Chandler Regional Hospital. Sadly, Trigg passed away six days later.

Emilie filed a lawsuit asking the court to keep the details of his death private. The lawsuit explained that Emilie is focused on caring for her two-month-old son, Theodore, and is finding it very difficult to cope.

Dr. Cara Hodgson described a family vacation to Thailand as “the worst 10 days” of her life after a December 2023 accident where she was shocked by power lines. She lost consciousness and was taken to the emergency room, then spent the next week and a half in and out of hospitals working to recover and save her life, as she shared in an Instagram post on New Year’s Day. She expressed immense gratitude to still be alive.

Despite the discomfort, the orthodontist discovered a renewed appreciation for life. Cara explained that the experience reminded her – and all of us – of something important: simply being alive is a gift. Being able to breathe, eat, speak, and move is wonderful and deserves to be celebrated.

In June 2025, Brazilian tourist Juliana Marins died in a hiking accident on Mount Rinjani, an active volcano in Indonesia. She fell from a cliff, and despite a four-day search by a team of 48 rescuers, her body was only found after being hampered by bad weather and difficult terrain, according to a statement from the Brazilian government. Thankfully, she did not fall into the volcano itself.

Juliana Marins has sadly passed away, her family announced on Instagram. Rescue teams reached her location today, but she did not survive. The family expressed their deep gratitude for the outpouring of prayers, messages of support, and affection they received.

In 2015, actress Tori Spelling, known for her role on Beverly Hills, 90210, accidentally burned her right arm on a hot grill while at an Easter brunch at Benihana. She needed skin grafts to heal, and later decided to file a lawsuit against the restaurant.

She revealed on her 2024 podcast, 9021OMG (co-hosted with Jennie Garth), that she received a skin graft from her thigh after a severe burn. She jokingly said, ‘Not many people can say they’re wearing their thigh on their arm,’ explaining that a thin layer of skin from her thigh was used to cover the burn on her arm.

Comedian Tony Knight tragically died in June 2024 at the Rock&Cars festival in France when he was struck by falling tree branches. He was 54 years old and enjoying life, according to Joanne Allen, the sister of his partner, Hayley Wright. Allen described Knight as fit, healthy, happy, and full of life, noting his charisma, humor, and passion.

He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Haley shared on Instagram that he was incredibly talented and could turn his hand to anything. She remembered him as a wonderful friend, a devoted dog owner, and, above all, the love of her life, saying things will never be the same without him.

A company celebration turned disastrous in January 2024. During a party in India to launch the 25th anniversary of Chicago software company Vistex, CEO Sanjay Shah and President Vishwanath Raju Datla were suspended in an iron cage. The cage was intended to descend 20 feet onto a stage, but two wires broke, causing both men to fall onto the concrete below, according to a report in The Times of India.

Sanjay, age 56, died at the hospital after the accident, according to reports. Vishwanath, 52, suffered a serious head injury and died several months afterward.

Let me tell you a story about a really close call I had when I was 19. I was climbing onto the roof of a building with some friends, and unfortunately, the drainpipe I was using gave way. I fell three stories and broke my back! It was a scary time, but I was incredibly lucky – the fall fractured several vertebrae, but thankfully didn’t sever my spinal cord. Looking back, I realize just how fortunate I was to survive with the function intact, and it’s something I shared recently with UNICEF.

Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE what he told me. He said when he was first in the hospital, the doctors actually told him – for four whole days – that he might never walk again! He said that was the start of a really tough time, figuring out why he kept getting into accidents. It all came to a head when he broke his back, and he said it was a truly terrifying, near-death experience. I just… I can’t even imagine. It makes everything he does now even more incredible, knowing what he overcame!

After leaving the hospital wearing a back brace and dealing with a lot of physical and emotional pain, he immediately started going out to parties—still wearing the brace, he told GQ in 2005. It took a couple of months for him to accept this new reality and decide he needed to turn his life around.

He said the experience completely changed his perspective on life. He realized he hadn’t fully appreciated things until he almost lost everything. He used to be a reckless driver and motorcyclist, always pushing his limits, not for the thrill, but because he enjoyed the adrenaline. Now, though, he’s much more relaxed.
