Phantom Blade Zero just raised the bar even higher! S-GAME released a new behind-the-scenes video showcasing a unique, and hilariously wobbly, sword fighting style.
To be honest, it’s a really engaging video overall. It features tons of gameplay footage, including fights, boss battles, different environments, and even glimpses of the story.
The game also includes an interview with its director, Soulframe – unrelated to the Warframe MMO – where he explains how the game approaches ‘Wuxia’ and how this influences both the story and the way you play.
Okay, so the story starts with my character, Soul, finding out he’s got only 66 days to live – he took a hit to the heart and it’s not looking good. Basically, I’m on a quest to find a cure, but also determined to make those last days count and really live while I can. It’s a race against time, but I want to experience everything!
I’m really excited to hear that Soul isn’t just about the main story! It sounds like you’ll be able to help people along the way with side quests, which is awesome. And the best part? The choices you make in those side quests can actually change things in the main story – that’s a really cool detail and makes me want to jump in and play!
Plus, the video uses incredibly detailed motion capture, which is why the animations are so impressive.
Phantom Blade Zero is still set to launch on PlayStation 5 on September 9th. Are you excited about it? Let us know your thoughts – and keep the discussion going – in the comments!
