
Kinetic Games is adding content from the game Alan Wake II to Phasmophobia in a special, limited-time event called “Phasmophobia by Alan Wake.” The event starts on May 12th.
This special event brings a mysterious new force into the places ghost hunters know well, creating unsettling changes and complicating their investigations like never before.
Remedy Entertainment’s creative director, Sam Lake, shared that many at the studio are fans of Phasmophobia, making the collaboration between the two horror games incredibly exciting. He described writing the project as a fun experience, explaining that the unique atmospheres of both games complement each other well.
Daniel Knight, CEO of Kinetic Games, shared his excitement about the collaboration with Remedy, saying the combination of their games has led to some intriguing and spooky possibilities for players. He described the crossover as a natural fit, with his team working hard to recreate the look and feel of locations from Alan Wake II within Phasmophobia. Both teams are eager for fans to experience the event, launching on May 12th.
The ghost-hunting game Phasmophobia is available now in early access on PlayStation 5 (with VR2 support), Xbox Series X/S, and PC through Steam. It’s also planned for release on the upcoming Switch 2. So far, the game has sold over 5 million copies on consoles and a total of 28 million copies across all platforms.
