I’m so excited about the new karaoke feature in Fortnite! And it gets even better – they’ve added Laufey’s music to the game! Apparently, the idea for letting us use the mic to sing actually came from how amazing her voice and performances are. It’s awesome to see Fortnite recognizing such a talented artist!

What is Fortnite Karaoke? Mic Vocals explained

Fortnite Festival now includes Fortnite Karaoke, a new feature that allows you to sing along to your favorite songs in the game—you’ll just need a microphone that works with it.

The game received a new singing feature, officially named Mic Vocals, on April 16, 2026. You can watch a demonstration of it in the YouTube video below, shared by Rulas.

Fortnite Festival’s fourteenth season added both Pro Drums and Mic Vocals as playable instruments. The season also featured Laufey, a contemporary jazz artist, both through her music and as a playable character outfit.

I was so excited to find out that to play Pro Drums in Fortnite, all I need to do is connect my Rock Band 4 drum kit, or any other MIDI drum kit that works, according to the Fortnite website! It’s awesome that they support existing equipment.

How to play Fortnite Karaoke

To play Fortnite Karaoke, simply connect a compatible microphone to your PC or console and then sing along to the songs available in Fortnite Festival.

Your singing will be scored based on how well you match the song’s melody and lyrics. You’ll receive a rating of Perfect, Great, Good, Okay, or Messy. The more accurately you hit the right notes – shown by bars moving with the song’s pitch – the better your score will be.
