Astro Bot is arguably PlayStation’s best mascot – the amount of merchandise available proves how popular he is.
You can find the adorable robot platforming hero on all sorts of merchandise like T-shirts and mugs, and he also makes a great toy, as proven by the many figurines already available.
That pattern is still happening, and now we’re seeing even smaller numbers, appearing unexpectedly.
Okay, so Good Smile Company is doing Nendoroid Astro Bot blind boxes! Basically, you buy one and get a random Astro Bot figure – there are six different designs to collect, and you don’t know which one you’re getting until you open it. It’s kinda exciting, honestly!
You can either buy each item separately, or get the complete set to make sure you have them all.
So, this figure set is awesome! You get three different versions of Astro, striking cool poses. But the best part? It also includes figures of the little bots you actually save while playing the game on PlayStation 5. It’s like, you’re rescuing them again in real life!
These are only 70mm tall (just under three inches) and they’re adorable, as you’d expect.
Each figure also includes a few random bonus items inspired by the game, such as a checkpoint icon, treasure chest, coin, or one of the PlayStation controller’s face buttons.
The box with all six figures retails for ¥10,800, which is approximately $70 or about £50.
Are you planning to get one of the new Astro Bot figures for a child or maybe for yourself? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
