Mega Crit Games just revealed a significant update for Slay the Spire 2, and early previews suggest it’s going to be even more captivating than before.
The game sold well during its initial release, but it definitely needed some work. Thankfully, the developers listened to player feedback and made significant improvements. The result is a gameplay experience that’s quickly becoming even more engaging than other popular games in the same genre.
The update introduces a new card for the Ironclad, called “Not Yet,” which costs 2 energy to play. It exhausts the player and restores 10-13 health. Along with this, five new Relics have been added, and there are balance adjustments for other characters. The update also improves controller support and fixes problems that caused crashes or disconnects. A detailed list of all the changes is available here.
So, the developers are being upfront – this is just the beginning, and the game is still a work in progress, so everything we’re seeing is subject to change. But honestly, it’s really cool to get a sneak peek! I’m especially stoked that I can finally play with a controller – it just feels so much more natural.
