One Tree Hill’s James Lafferty, Wife Alexandra Park Welcome First Baby

James Lafferty don’t wanna be anything other than with his family right now.

That’s right – the actor from One Tree Hill and his wife, Alexandra Park, just had a baby!

I was so thrilled to see the announcement! They welcomed their beautiful baby, River Jay Lafferty, into the world and shared the sweetest photo – just them holding his tiny hand on a cozy, quilted blanket. It was such a heartwarming way to introduce him!

“Love has new meaning,” they wrote on Instagram April 17 alongside. “12/4/2025.”

James and Alexandra are expecting a baby ten years after first meeting on the set of Alexandra’s show, The Royals. They became engaged in 2020 and married in Hawaii in 2022.

In a 2024 interview with TopMob News, Alexandra described her relationship with James as having blossomed into a strong friendship. While she wasn’t necessarily surprised by the change, she said things are ‘better’ now, referring to both of them as ‘best friends’.

She explained that working together and spending so much time as a team only made things better the more they did it.

Alexandra added, “Every day is a surprise with James. We’re just really lucky to have each other.”

James feels the same way, and he now appears with Alexandra in the Netflix series Everyone Is Doing Great.

He shared with People magazine in 2024 that they greatly value their relationship and actively work to maintain it. He emphasized that prioritizing friendship above all else is key, and believes that when you do, everything else tends to work out.

And the actor feels their real-life relationship only adds to their performance onscreen.

He explained that working together brings a genuine quality to the show that’s hard to find. The actors have immediate chemistry and a natural connection, allowing for unspoken understanding on set – something you simply can’t create through casting.

James said he found it personally meaningful and believes it’s the show’s biggest strength.
