Final Fantasy 9 Returns With Official New Vivi Release
Merchoid is releasing a new collectible plush doll of Vivi Ornitier from Final Fantasy 9 this summer. It’s an officially licensed figure, and while a smaller version is already available at Square Enix, a larger 31cm doll is available for pre-order now.
A special plush doll will be quite expensive, costing just under $150. A smaller, 21cm version is available on Merchoid for around $50 less, including shipping. Fans will also be excited to learn that Vivi, the beloved black mage from Final Fantasy IX, will star in a new prequel story released as an original picture book on May 19th.
The game also boasts an incredible original soundtrack, and fans will be excited to hear the “House Grooves” album, which remixes the iconic music in a house music style, releasing this month. Even though some players were disappointed by the recent news about a remake, there are still several upcoming Final Fantasy 9 projects and special collectible items to anticipate.
Will We Ever Get A FF9 Remake?
Most fans aren’t wondering if a remake of Final Fantasy IX will happen, but when. Despite recent reports suggesting the project is stalled, players are still hopeful.
