Prime Video is now streaming the highly anticipated movie sequel to a popular horror series, along with all episodes of the original show. Amazon’s Prime Video has been adding a lot of new movies and TV shows throughout April. Starting April 1st, subscribers could stream a 2023 film that picks up the story of a beloved horror series after a six-year gap.
Teen Wolf was a hugely popular and influential supernatural drama for young adults during the 2010s. Based on the 1985 film, the show aired on MTV for six seasons and 100 episodes, from 2011 to 2017. It helped launch MTV into making scripted shows and quickly gained a dedicated fanbase. The series followed high school student Scott McCall, who becomes a werewolf and has to balance normal teenage life with protecting his town, Beacon Hills, from supernatural dangers, all with the help of his friends. Both the original series and the 2023 follow-up movie, Teen Wolf: The Movie, are now available to stream on Prime Video.
Teen Wolf: The Movie Brought the Pack Back to Beacon Hills for One Final Fight
Following the end of the original Teen Wolf series, Teen Wolf: The Movie reunited the pack for one last adventure. The film catches up with Scott years later, now an adult, as he returns to Beacon Hills to confront a frightening new danger. Alongside his former pack – Lydia Martin, Derek Hale, Malia Tate, and Chris Argent – and some new friends, he must battle a powerful, vengeful spirit called the Nogitsune to protect the town and rescue Allison. Fans agreed the six-year wait for this continuation was definitely worth it!
Despite mixed reviews from critics (a 33% score on Rotten Tomatoes), Teen Wolf: The Movie was well-received by fans who were excited to see the original cast together again, giving it a 64% audience rating. The film reunited most of the pack – though Dylan O’Brien’s Stiles and Arden Cho’s Kira didn’t return – and the actors seamlessly stepped back into their roles. A 15-year time jump allowed for a more grown-up look at the ongoing events in Beacon Hills. Essentially, the movie feels like a longer, more polished episode of the show, delivering the thrilling supernatural action and heartfelt emotional moments that fans have always loved. It also draws heavily from the show’s six seasons, making it a particularly enjoyable experience for longtime viewers.

Prime Video is adding a lot of great content in April! Along with the movie Teen Wolf, they’re also including popular titles like Dances with Wolves, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Self/less, Titanic, Top Gun, and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, and even more!
