Fans Are Convinced the Doomsday Trailer Will Release Online Soon Thanks to Official Marvel Account Tease

The first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday was shown at CinemaCon this week, but Marvel didn’t release it to the public right away, which disappointed many fans. A recent post from Marvel Studios has everyone talking, leading to speculation about when the trailer will be available online. With Phases 4 and 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe receiving mixed reactions, Doomsday is a crucial film for the franchise’s future – as Marvel tries to recreate the success of Avengers: Endgame. This puts the studio in a tricky situation: they need to generate excitement for the movie without revealing too much, too soon, and risk losing fans’ interest.

The Doomsday Trailer Could Release This Week (or Not)

The post simply features the Avengers theme song, but that’s enough to have Marvel fans buzzing. It seems Marvel’s Latin American branch may be hinting at something big.

Marvel LATAM’s Tease Might Not Be Referring to the Doomsday Trailer

A trailer for Doomsday could very well be released this week. The previous teasers appeared online about 4-5 days after showing in theaters (and after some leaked, low-quality versions surfaced). If a trailer does drop, Tuesday at 9am Eastern Time is the most likely time to look out for it, mirroring the release schedule of the teasers.

That said, the post could also mean a couple other things:

  1. The account could be teasing CCXP Mexico – which starts on April 23rd. It’s possible the trailer could play at one of the panels.
  2. Nothing. Marvel LATAM typically tweets short memes or fun nods to the shows and movies. It could simply be that – with no connection to any upcoming event. (See Below)

The decision not to publicly release the Doomsday trailer resulted in a varied reaction from fans.
