Season 5 of The Boys will conclude the show’s main storyline, but it’s also setting up a future spinoff focused on Jensen Ackles’ character, Soldier Boy. This new series, titled Vought Rising, is planned for release in 2027 and will take place in the 1950s. It will explore the beginnings of the Vought company, feature Soldier Boy and Stormfront, and unfold as a “twisted murder mystery.” Considering Soldier Boy is already a popular and powerful character from The Boys, a spinoff about him is likely to be a hit. The story itself sounds promising, and will also introduce other powerful super-powered individuals.
In Season 5, Episode 3 of The Boys, the show hints at several new supes early on. Warning: Spoilers ahead! While explaining why the supe virus doesn’t affect Soldier Boy, Sister Sage reveals the names of others who received V1, the very first and strongest version of Compound V. We’ve already been introduced to one of them, but the others haven’t appeared in The Boys yet. They are confirmed to be in the upcoming spinoff series, Vought Rising, and this episode seems to be subtly setting them up. If the spinoff features five supes as powerful as Soldier Boy, it promises to be an incredibly action-packed show.
4) Stormfront/Liberty (Played by Aya Cash)

Sister Sage only names Stormfront (known as Liberty in the timeline of Vought Rising) as a supe connected to V1 that we’ve actually seen. Aya Cash played Stormfront in Season 2 of The Boys, where she replaced Translucent in The Seven. She acted as a key villain, becoming romantically involved with Homelander before being exposed as a Nazi. Though injured by Ryan in the Season 2 finale, Stormfront later reappears in Season 3 before taking her own life. Vought Rising will explore her story further, with Cash returning to play a significant role alongside Soldier Boy. Considering she married Frederick Vought, it’s logical that she’ll be central to a series detailing the origins of Vought.
3) Bombsight (Played by Mason Dye)

In Season 5, Episode 3 of The Boys, we meet Bombsight, another supe created by Vought. Not much is known about him yet, except that he’ll be played by Mason Dye, who you might recognize from his role as Jason in Stranger Things Season 4. Dye proved in that series he’s good at playing unlikeable characters. While his specific powers are still a mystery, his name suggests they’ll involve explosives or enhanced vision – perhaps he can blow things up with his eyes or detect bombs. Reports indicate he was a combat pilot, making either power quite useful. According to Variety, Mason Dye will first appear as Bombsight in Season 5 of The Boys, giving viewers a preview before the Vought Rising spinoff series is released.
2) Private Angel (Played by Elizabeth Posey)

Elizabeth Posey will play Private Angel, another survivor from V1, in the upcoming series Vought Rising. Posey has previously had small roles in shows like Euphoria and Heels, and appeared in the 2021 film Dreamcatcher. Details about her character are currently scarce, and her codename, Private Angel, doesn’t reveal much about her powers – though it hints at a military history, a suggestion reinforced by her official character photo. It’s unknown if Private Angel is still active during the events of The Boys, but because V1 supes don’t age, it’s definitely possible.
1) Torpedo

Torpedo is one of the superpowered individuals Sister Sage has discussed, and currently, not much is known about him. He’ll be played by Will Hochman, who fans may recognize from his role as Joe Hill on Blue Bloods. Details about Torpedo are scarce, though sources indicate he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Given his name, it’s reasonable to assume he possesses a significant ability, but we’ll need to learn more through The Boys or the upcoming series Vought Rising to discover what that is.
