Pragmata Guide – 15 Tips And Tricks You Should Know

Pragmata can be challenging at first, but mastering its systems is key to success. While it appears complicated, we’re here to help you quickly become a skilled robot fighter with these helpful tips.

If you’re looking forward to seeing Hugh and Diana’s sweet story in The Cradle come to a satisfying conclusion, we’ll show you how to best enjoy their journey together. Let’s dive in!

1. Object Scan Is Very Useful

As you explore The Cradle, you’ll want any help you can get, and Object Scan is a great tool for finding useful upgrades and resources. It becomes available for purchase fairly early in the game, so we highly recommend getting it as soon as possible.

Okay, so this thing is seriously affordable, but don’t let the price fool you – it has amazing range! It makes getting to all the good stuff so much easier. Honestly, if you’re like me and hate missing out on items, or just want a smooth time collecting everything, this is the way to go. It’s a total game-changer for finding loot!

2. Save Auto Hacks For When You Really Need Them

Diana’s hacking meter is really useful, so try to use it wisely. Her Auto Hack ability can be a lifesaver in difficult moments, but it’s best saved for emergencies when things get overwhelming and you need a quick break.

Using this ability too frequently isn’t a good idea, as it drains your hacking meter quickly, potentially stopping you from using more powerful options that could change the situation. However, if you’re overwhelmed by enemies and need a quick escape, it’s a very effective emergency tool.

3. Fast Moves Improves Your Survivability

If you’re getting hit frequently, we suggest unlocking Fast Moves right away. This useful ability lets you quickly create distance, and mastering dodge timing can briefly slow down time, giving you a chance to land some accurate attacks or even turn the situation to your advantage with a hack.

As a player, I’m really excited about this! It’s perfect for those fights where you’re constantly running around and trying to break through enemy lines – and there are so many of those in the game. We found it was a huge help, especially when facing the tougher bosses. Honestly, I’d recommend keeping this equipped most of the time, at least until you’re comfortable tackling things without it.

4. Consider Critical Shot As A Finisher

When guiding Diana’s hacks, hitting the purple bonus nodes can stun enemies with very little health, giving you a great opportunity to inflict a lot of damage. Critical Shot is perfect for taking advantage of these moments and finishing off opponents.

Use this ability effectively, and you’ll quickly defeat enemies alongside Hugh and Diana. It provides valuable invulnerability during chaotic fights and rewards you with extra Lunafilament for each enemy cleared – we’ll explain Lunafilament shortly.

5. Prioritize Bot Scan

Pragmata, similar to many shooting games, rewards precise aiming – you’ll need to hit enemy weak points after using Diana’s hacking abilities to expose them. However, the quick action makes it tough to target those spots, and that’s where the Bot Scan feature comes in handy.

As a gamer, I love how this feature points out enemy weak spots. It lets me unload a ton of damage as soon as I can get around their defenses. It’s a lifesaver when I’m fighting new enemies too – I don’t have to waste time figuring out where to aim once their shields are gone!

6. Invest In Decode Consistently

Decode is an ability you unlock early on that’s easy to miss, but it’s surprisingly powerful. It’s a focused hack that boosts your damage, and since you’ll be hacking frequently, that extra damage is really useful.

This is a powerful ability for defeating difficult enemies, but it’s most effective when used at the right moment. Save it for tougher opponents – the added damage will make a bigger difference against enemies that are hard to defeat.

7. Confuse Troublesome Enemies

The Confuse node is a really useful tool because it helps bypass enemy shields and can even take those shields for yourself. Plus, you can make enemies attack each other, giving you free damage and a chance to create confusion in their ranks, allowing you to deal even more damage.

This handy tool proved so useful in so many situations that we quickly became reliant on it and didn’t want to be without it.

8. Use Heat With The Right Supporting Abilities

You can disable enemy bots by making them overheat, leaving them open to attack. A powerful strategy for doing this involves using Heat nodes, Combust Mode, and the Pulse Carbine together. This combination quickly fills their Overheat meter, creating an opportunity for a critical hit.

Dealing with bosses requires a different approach. It’s usually much harder to fill their Overheat gauges, so try different tactics. Also, be mindful of your own weapons overheating – watch their gauges so you don’t run out of firepower at a critical moment.

9. Pair Quick Fix With Repair Up

If you like to stay in the thick of battle, both dealing and taking damage, Quick Fix and Repair Up are valuable skills. Quick Fix lets you use Repair Cartridges faster, and Repair Up increases the amount of health each cartridge restores by 10%. Together, they help you stay alive and keep fighting when things get tough, giving you the chance to turn the battle around.

These abilities are helpful even if you focus on dodging and quick attacks, because they make it much easier to bounce back from errors.

10. Optimal Performance Rules!

Pragmata was surprisingly easy thanks to this ability! Getting a 10% attack boost when at full health works really well with the Repair Up skill. It’s a fantastic way to maintain full health and increase your damage, making it particularly useful when facing bosses for the first time.

This mod is consistently reliable and performs well in any situation. We found ourselves continuing to use it even when other, seemingly better options were available.

11. Know Where To Pick Up Lunafilament

Running low on Lunafilament? You can find it by defeating enemies – try using Critical Shots for a better chance of getting more. Also, check Safe Boxes, yellow Supply Boxes, and complete Training Sims. To boost your gains even further, consider using a Pocket Refinery, which increases Lunafilament from each source by 10%. You’ll be stocked up quickly!

It’s important because you need it to improve your equipment at the Printing Unit in The Shelter.

12. Go Out Of The Way For Upgrade Components

We mentioned you’ll need every edge you can get in this game, and Upgrade Components are key to improving your character. They can be tricky to find, though – often hidden in plain sight or in areas you can’t reach until you unlock new abilities later on.

Whenever you spot these items, it’s a good idea to collect them. They’re essential for upgrading Hugh’s suit, your main power source, and Diana’s hacking skills – all crucial tools in fighting the robots.

13. Don’t Sleep on Red Zones

Collect as many Red Gate Keys as possible. Red Zones offer valuable resources and currency, and you’ll need to clear them to fully complete Pragmata. While they’re difficult, consider them a chance to improve your skills and experiment with different equipment setups.

Always keep an eye out for Red Gate Keys and grab them whenever you see one, using them right away. Just like with Upgrade Components and Red Zones, it’s worth going back to previous areas to collect them.

14. Balance Your Always Print Loadout

When you return to the Cradle, we suggest bringing the Shockwave Gun, Stasis Net, and Decoy Generator. These three work really well together in almost any situation. The Shockwave Gun deals a lot of damage quickly, and the Stasis Net is perfect for freezing enemies, giving you time to aim – especially when used with Offense Mode.

The Decoy Generator gives you time to prepare more powerful attacks with weapons like the Shockwave Gun. It’s also effective when combined with Multi-hack and Freeze for controlling large groups of enemies.

Use your Grip Gun whenever it’s helpful, and try to switch weapons strategically. Taking a moment to plan your next move can be really beneficial, but it’s tough to do when things get chaotic.

15. A Solid Boss Loadout

For tougher enemies like bosses, we suggest switching to the Charge Piercer, Photon Laser, and Jackhammer. Use the Charge Piercer when you have a clear shot to deal a lot of damage. If you can stun the boss, the Photon Laser is perfect for quickly reducing its health.

The Jackhammer is great for dealing consistent damage, even to enemies who haven’t been fully exposed, letting you slowly wear them down while Diana completes her hacking. If you’re facing bigger, more aggressive enemies, the Riot Blaster is also a good choice because its area-of-effect attack doesn’t require pinpoint accuracy like the Jackhammer does.

That covers the main points for now. Pragmata is a complex game, so these are just suggestions to get you started and help you experiment with different setups to find what works best for you. We found these tips really helpful, even allowing us to breeze through the game and succeed in Lunatic Mode!

Let’s get back to destroying robots, and we hope our advice helps you do the same with less trouble!
