Jim Parsons has hung up Sheldon Cooper’s lab coat for the last time.
The actor, who famously played the award-winning physicist on The Big Bang Theory for twelve seasons (from 2007 to 2019), has said he probably won’t reprise the role again.
On the April 17th episode of The View, Jim stated he wouldn’t want to revisit his past work. He admitted he doesn’t particularly miss the experience, explaining that after twelve years on a show tailored to a specific performer, much of what was presented actually came from him – though he joked it wasn’t the brilliant parts.
Despite not intending to play Sheldon again, the 53-year-old actor—who famously won four Emmy Awards for his portrayal of the character—understands how much the role meant to people.
He explained that he still remembers a lot about the person and what made them special. He’s often surprised when people bring it up, not because he doesn’t understand why, but simply because it doesn’t occur to him to think about it anymore. It feels natural that others remember, but it’s not something he actively dwells on.
The Titaníque actor added of the fan interaction, “It’s always really sweet.”
Okay, so there’s a lot of talk about whether The Big Bang Theory could ever come back. While Jim Parsons isn’t keen on revisiting the show – which, let’s remember, gave us Young Sheldon and George & Mandy’s First Marriage – Kaley Cuoco is totally on board! She’s said she’d jump at the chance to work with the whole gang again – that’s Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik, and Melissa Rauch. It sounds like she’s really hoping for a reunion, even if not everyone feels the same way!

She told People magazine in October 2024 that she’d happily play that role again, saying she loves the character and always will.
She shared that her 12 years on the Chuck Lorre show were pivotal to launching her career. She expressed deep gratitude for the role, the show, and Chuck Lorre himself, saying she owes them a great deal.
Kaley also shared that those years were some of the happiest and most enjoyable of her life.
Don’t expect to see The Big Bang Theory back on TV, but here’s a look at some other shows that are coming soon…

I’ve always been captivated by the story of Mozart, or Amadeus as he was known when he first arrived in Vienna. He was just twenty-five, no longer the little boy wonder, and desperately wanted to create music on his own terms. It was in Vienna that his life really began to unfold, connecting him with the wonderful Constanze Weber, who became his wife, and the court composer Salieri, a deeply religious man. Watching Amadeus’ genius blossom, even with all his flaws and the disapproval of the stuffy court, was incredible, but it also fueled a terrible envy in Salieri. He saw Amadeus’ gift as something divine, a threat to everything he had worked for – his talent, his good name, even his faith. It wasn’t just professional jealousy; it became a thirty-year obsession, and ultimately, a confession of murder, a desperate attempt by Salieri to somehow be remembered alongside the immortal Mozart.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always looking for shows that tackle real issues, and A&E’s new series, Squatters, is definitely one to watch. It follows Flash Shelton and his team as they step into incredibly tense situations – helping homeowners get back their properties from people illegally occupying them. Think of it as a modern-day Intervention, but focused on the complicated world of property rights. The show really pulls back the curtain on the legal battles involved and showcases Shelton’s unique approach to resolving these often volatile conflicts. It’s fascinating and sheds light on a growing problem many Americans are facing.
