I was SO excited when Spy x Family Season 3 finally dropped in October as part of the Fall lineup, and it did not disappoint! Right away, they hit us with Loid’s really sad past, which was a total emotional gut punch. The season was a wild ride, switching between moments that made me cry and completely silly comedy – honestly, it was perfect! We got the Friendship Schemes Arc where Yor makes friends with Melinda Desmond, Donovan’s wife, and that relationship is clearly going to be super important going forward. Then, the Bus Hijacking Arc was amazing – it showed just how brave Anya is, but also gave us a really unsettling look into Melinda’s head. Speaking of Melinda, learning about how she feels about Damian was…intense, to say the least. The season wrapped up right in the middle of the Wheeler Arc, with spies from both Westalis and Ostania chasing a mole who stole top-secret documents – seriously, the stakes are incredibly high, and it could ruin the peace between the countries! It ended on such a fantastic note, everyone’s already clamoring for Season 4! Sadly, the studio hasn’t announced a renewal yet, but there’s still something else to be excited about!
Spy x Family Season 4 Might Take Longer Than Expected

It’s typical for a hit show like Spy x Family to get a season two announcement right after the first one ends. But instead, the anime’s official X account revealed details about a special event happening on November 8th, 2026. Called Extra Mission II, the event will feature the voice actors who bring the characters to life. A similar event took place over two and a half years ago, where the cast performed live dubbing and shared stories from behind the scenes.
It’s possible we’ll hear about a fourth season at the event, but nothing is official yet. The anime’s social media account posted a mysterious message about the future, but didn’t mention Season 4 or any new plans. This means fans will have to wait longer for the story to continue, potentially until 2027 or beyond. Because previous seasons were released at unpredictable times, it’s hard to guess when the next one might come out. Although the delay is frustrating, it gives the studio time to work on it, since new chapters of the manga are being published every two weeks.
Season four promises to be even more captivating, drawing from the Term Finals, Love and War, and Term Break story arcs – each filled with unexpected twists and emotional scenes. You can currently watch the first three seasons on Crunchyroll and Netflix. If you prefer to read the manga, it’s available on the Manga Plus and Shonen Jump apps, as well as on the official Viz Media website, which also has links to purchase the manga volumes in both physical and digital formats.
