Lost Soul Aside was a major letdown when it launched in 2025, but it’s encouraging that UltiZero Games is continuing to support and update the game even after its release, thanks to its partnership with Sony.
Okay, so the devs just released another huge patch – this is like, the fifth big one now! It’s packed with new stuff and improvements, and they’ve really tweaked a lot under the hood. I just downloaded version 1.103 on my PS5, so I’m excited to jump back in and check it all out.
We’ve added a scoring system for the easy difficulty level, and a new accessory that increases the game’s challenge. Plus, there are some cool new cosmetic items to enjoy!
We’ve adjusted the game’s balance in a few ways. The Poleblade now deals 15% more damage, and we’ve made a couple of the trickier platforming sections a bit easier.
One notable change mentioned in the latest update is to how enemies react when hit. The developers have tweaked the animations to make impacts feel more satisfying.
Because many attacks in the game aren’t very effective – a common complaint – this change could actually be a significant improvement.
Anyway, here are the patch notes in full:
