Why Brittany Mahomes Is Emotional Over Daughter Sterling’s Milestone

Brittany Mahomes was blown away by her kid’s latest style change.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model talked about her 5-year-old daughter, Sterling Mahomes, getting a haircut, and how she and her husband, Patrick Mahomes, felt about it.

I was so excited to see Brittany post on Instagram! She shared a picture of Sterling’s hair – it was so long and golden, straight at the top and then flowing into beautiful, loose waves. Then, in the next pic, you could see she’d had a bunch cut off and styled into really defined curls. It looked amazing!

The 30-year-old mother of three—including 3-year-old Patrick “Bronze” Mahomes and 15-month-old Golden Mahomes—shared a post with a crying emoji and asked, “Why does this make me want to cry?” Her husband is the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback.

Sterling’s haircut is just the latest aspect of her style to get a shakeup.

Brittany recently shared a cute photo of her daughter dressed as a cowgirl, complete with a button-up dress and a big cowgirl hat. She captioned it, “My baby wanted to be a cowgirl today.”

As someone who’s always juggling life’s roles, I can honestly say motherhood has been the biggest joy of my life! Being a mom to my three kids with Patrick is truly the most rewarding experience – it’s a total win in every way.

She told SheKnows in March 2024 that she’s felt a calling to be a mother for as long as she can remember. She especially loves watching her children grow, learn, and pick up things from their father. Seeing their joy and happiness during new experiences – like taking them somewhere new or doing something together – is what she enjoys most about being a mom.

And as the eldest sibling, Sterling has taken her role as big sister very seriously.

In December 2022, Brittany shared on Instagram how grateful she was and how proud she was of her daughter. She noted that her daughter was adjusting beautifully to being a big sister, showering her baby brother with love and being a wonderful little helper.
