Although Ahsoka Tano wasn’t officially knighted as a Jedi, she’s become known as one of the most talented fighters ever trained by the Jedi Order. Her journey as an independent warrior has led to incredible battles with other characters in the Star Wars universe. It’s clear she’s among the franchise’s best, but pinpointing her exact ranking is a challenge.
It’s interesting that understanding Ahsoka’s strength within the Star Wars universe doesn’t come from what she says or does directly. As the Star Wars story grows with new characters and plots, we can understand her power by comparing her to others. And thanks to a couple of recent Star Wars shows, it’s now much clearer just how powerful Ahsoka truly is.
Star Wars Brings Back Two of Ahsoka’s Fiercest Opponents

The new Star Wars animated series, Maul – Shadow Lord, takes place during the early days of the Empire and shows how Maul secretly built a new criminal organization. However, his activities on the planet Janix soon attract the Empire’s attention, leading to a swift and forceful response. The Empire sends not only Stormtroopers, but also two Inquisitors to hunt down Maul and any Jedi who are also hiding on the planet.
Fans of Star Wars will recognize the two Inquisitors in the Shadow Lord comic. One is Marrok, who later serves Morgan Elsbeth, and the other is Eleventh Brother, also known as “The Crow,” a dangerous Inquisitor from the time of the Empire. Importantly, both of these Inquisitors are eventually defeated by Ahsoka Tano.
As previously noted, Marrok lived through the time of the Empire and became an enforcer for Morgan Elsbeth, a Nightsister witch who served as a key assistant to Grand Admiral Thrawn. In the first season of Star Wars: Ahsoka, Marrok joined dark side users Lord Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati on the planet Seatos to battle Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren. During their fight, Ahsoka defeated and killed Marrok. The animated series Tales of the Jedi includes an episode called “Resolve” that shows Ahsoka going into hiding and trying to live peacefully after the deaths of Padmé Amidala and, she believed, Anakin Skywalker. She settled on a distant farming planet, but using her Force abilities to help someone led another resident to inform the Empire. The Crow Inquisitor was dispatched to find her, but Ahsoka quickly defeated and killed him using his own lightsaber.
Where does Ahsoka Tano rank in the Star Wars Power Hierarchy?

As I mentioned earlier, this is about how power transfers in the Star Wars universe. In Maul – Shadow Lord Episode 7, Maul fights Marrok and The Crow and is almost defeated. While Ahsoka is simultaneously battling both Inquisitors, Maul does get chances to fight them individually, but ultimately loses. He also lost to Ahsoka during their intense duel on Mandalore at the end of the Clone Wars. Following the events of Shadow Lord, Ahsoka defeats both The Crow and Marrok.
It’s clear now that Ahsoka is a more skilled fighter than Maul. She’s proven herself capable against even Darth Vader, and has consistently defeated various opponents like Force users, witches, mercenaries, and assassins. Without a doubt, she’s among the strongest warriors in the Star Wars universe, and could easily be considered one of the top five, especially within the current Disney canon.
