Every Dragon Ball Super Arc Ranked By How Much They’ll Be Improved With Anime Remake

A new anime series remaking Dragon Ball Super is in production, starting with the story arc beginning with Battle of Gods. This remake aims to improve upon the original series, which concluded in 2018. A lot has changed in the anime industry since then, and the studio behind Dragon Ball Super is taking this opportunity to deliver a polished and enhanced version of the Battle of Gods arc and beyond.

5). Universe 6

The Universe 6 Saga is often considered one of the best storylines in the original Dragon Ball Super anime. While the setup before the battle between Universes 6 and 7 could be shortened in a revised version, the fights themselves are surprisingly well-paced and engaging.

This fight isn’t particularly challenging compared to others in the series, so a remake shouldn’t feel like a huge departure from the original. The biggest improvement will be seen in the Goku versus Hit fight, and that alone will make the remake worthwhile. Expect to see noticeable enhancements in all the other fights as well.

4). Resurrection F

Although often considered part of the ‘Battle of Gods’ saga, the ‘Resurrection F’ arc is getting a remake that promises to be quite interesting. Originally released as a movie, it was later adapted into an expanded TV anime version. However, many fans consider the TV version less compelling, so this remake aims to address those weaknesses. By streamlining the story to match the faster pace of the original film and focusing on the epic battle with Golden Frieza, this remake is shaping up to be a highlight.

3). Battle of Gods

Like the previous expanded release, Battle of Gods faces the challenge of being compared to its original version. While the original film offered a concise Dragon Ball Z story for fans at the time, this remake has the potential to shine by removing unnecessary scenes that were included in the TV adaptation. The visual improvements might not be as striking compared to the original film, but they should ultimately help establish this as the definitive version of this story arc.

2). Tournament of Power

The Tournament of Power arc felt drawn out at times, with many battles and universes that weren’t particularly engaging. A remake could improve the pacing by cutting out less important scenes and concentrating on the most exciting and memorable moments of the tournament.

Improving the visuals for Ultra Instinct and especially the final battle with Jiren will be challenging, but it could significantly boost the fight’s popularity and help it gain viral attention again.

1). Future Trunks

When it comes to which Dragon Ball Super story would benefit most from updated visuals and sound, the Future Trunks arc is the clear winner. It’s already a well-paced and focused story, and improved graphics would make a huge impact, especially on the exciting battles against Goku Black and the dramatic events that followed. A remake could really elevate these moments and potentially make the Future Trunks arc the best story in the entire series.
