Even though the current season, Daredevil: Born Again, is almost finished, the show will continue with a third season already planned. Season 3 is expected to focus on the conflict with Mayor Fisk and will likely see Daredevil joining forces with other Defenders heroes to fight a growing anti-vigilante movement. In addition, the current season is hinting at a significant new villain who will play a major role in the future.
Mayor Wilson Fisk, also known as the Kingpin, has been the primary villain in Daredevil: Born Again, continuing his role as Daredevil’s biggest enemy from the previous Netflix series. But he isn’t the only threat. Characters like Bullseye, Muse, and Mr. Charles have also acted as villains, creating a diverse group of enemies for Daredevil. While Fisk will likely remain the main villain in season three, a new and compelling foe will also be joining the mix.
Born Again Is Setting Heather Up As Lady Muse

It’s looking increasingly likely that the character Lady Muse will appear in the third season of Daredevil: Born Again, and the current second season is laying the groundwork for her introduction. Initially, in Born Again, Heather Glenn was introduced as a therapist and Matt Murdock’s girlfriend. She was particularly interested in the psychology of vigilantes, and eventually discovered that one of her patients was the dangerous serial killer known as Muse. Now, in the second season, Heather’s experience with Muse has led her to support Fisk’s efforts against vigilantes. She’s currently working for the Fisk administration, analyzing the profiles of vigilantes like Swordsman and Karen Page.
Throughout the second season, Heather has struggled with the emotional aftermath of her experience with Muse. This trauma has made her more impulsive and prone to violence, and she now views vigilantes with suspicion. Her increasing aggression was evident in a disturbing interaction with Buck, where she allowed him to experience her violent tendencies by choking him. Adding to her distress, Heather keeps having blurry visions of Muse, suggesting she’s being haunted by his memory, as seen again in episode 7.
The comic books show that when Muse died, the killer’s evil didn’t disappear. His spirit started controlling an artist named Morgan Whittier, and eventually, Morgan became the new Lady Muse – the second person to become this serial killer and wear the mask.
Okay, so the show is definitely hinting that Heather is going to become Lady Muse, and while it’s a departure from the comics, it actually makes a lot of sense. Instead of a ghostly haunting like we saw with Morgan, they’re going for a more psychological approach, which feels really grounded. Plus, she’s been holding onto that Muse mask since season one! It’s only a matter of time before she embraces the role and starts causing trouble in Hell’s Kitchen, and honestly, I’m here for it. The setup is brilliant.
Heather Is Easily Born Again Season 2’s Biggest Character Improvement

One of the highlights of Born Again season 2 is Heather’s development into Lady Muse, demonstrating how much she’s grown since season 1. While some of the new characters introduced in season 1 felt flat compared to the original Daredevil cast, season 2 has really brought them to life. Characters like Kirsten, Daniel, and Buck are now just as engaging as Matt, Karen, and Dex.
Out of all the characters, Heather has shown the most growth. In the first season of Born Again, she wasn’t a particularly strong character, essentially filling the role of the show’s antagonist. She was initially connected to a storyline involving Muse, which the show seemed to be moving away from. Given that her initial plotline wasn’t going anywhere, it’s really impressive how much more prominent and developed she became later on.
Okay, let me tell you, Heather was a revelation in season two! Last season, she honestly didn’t grab me, but this time around, she’s completely captivating. The writers really gave her a lot to work with – her connection to the Fisks, the whole corruption storyline, and especially her journey with the Muse mantle. I found myself genuinely excited whenever she appeared on screen, which was a huge relief! Honestly, Heather’s arc is fantastic, and it’s a big reason why Daredevil: Born Again season two is a massive improvement over what came before.
