Darrell Sheets’ loved ones are holding their memories close.

After the death of Storage Wars star Frank Fritz on April 22nd at age 67, his former wife, Kimber Wuerfel, spoke about her sadness and loss.

She shared on Instagram on April 30th that she was finally able to express her gratitude. She thanked everyone for their support, prayers, and kind words, saying it meant the world to her. She remembered her friend, Darrell, as someone who brought joy, meaningful connections, and a zest for life to those around him.

Okay, so she said they’d share details about the memorial service later, but then… oh, it was just everything. She said to hold onto our memories of him, because she knows she will, forever. And then she just… thanked everyone, from her family to ours. It was so simple, but it completely broke me. I’ll never forget those words, never.

She posted a video showing highlights of her relationship with Sheets over the years along with the caption. Although they broke up in 2016, according to Us Weekly, they stayed friendly afterward.

Police say former NFL player Ryan Sheets was found dead at his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, on April 22nd. While the death appears to be a suicide, authorities are still investigating.

After the reality TV star—who spent thirty years buying contents from abandoned storage units at auction—passed away, the April 25th episode of Storage Wars: Back to the Locker Room was dedicated to honoring his life.

The day before, Laura Dotson, his colleague, spoke about the difficulties he’d been facing due to being in the public eye, including reports of online harassment.

I was absolutely devastated to read this! Apparently, it’s been going on for three years – three years of people just tearing him down online! The family told Us Weekly about it, and it just breaks my heart. They said it affects even the strongest people, the ones you’d never think could be hurt by words. It’s so true, cyberbullying is REAL, and it clearly took a huge toll on him. He just…didn’t feel good enough, and it was so obvious he was really suffering. It’s just awful!

She said he was deeply afraid for himself and everyone nearby. He had no idea why anyone would be targeting him.

Dotson will always cherish the memory of Sheets as a genuinely kind and loving person with strong faith.
