Live from New York, it’s Marcello Hernández at Met Gala 2026.
The Saturday Night Live comedian looked fantastic at his first time attending the celebrated fundraiser. This year’s event, called “Costume Art,” celebrated an art exhibit of the same name and encouraged guests to express themselves through creative fashion.
Marcello arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on May 4th, looking stylish in a black suit by Thom Browne, reminiscent of his character Domingo, and featuring a unique detail: safety pins.
His girlfriend, Ana Amelia Batlle Cabral, looked stunning in a black, strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline and feather details. (You can see all the celebrity looks here.)
Even though he’s been on Saturday Night Live for four seasons and released a Netflix comedy special, the comedian is still getting used to being famous and all that comes with it.
Marcello explained to Esquire that it’s difficult to internalize belonging. He said that no matter how much effort you put in, a challenging background can make success feel impossible at times.
He continued, “So all this stuff is wild, man.”
That’s why the 28-year-old prefers to lay low.
In a 2025 interview with Vogue, he mentioned that he sometimes relaxes after writer’s night by playing FIFA on his Xbox, which briefly makes him feel like he’s escaped to another world.
Marcello generally keeps his personal relationships to himself, but he did recently share some positive comments about his girlfriend, Ana.
The Happy Gilmore 2 actor told TopMob News in February that she is an amazing person. He described her as genuinely good.
He described the Yale graduate as having excellent taste, adding that she’s family-oriented, clearly well-educated, and possesses good manners, always saying ‘please’ and ‘thank you’.
Marcello added, “She’s a good person.”
