LISA has checked into the Met Gala.
BLACKPINK’s Lalisa Manobal made a striking appearance at the 2026 Met Gala in New York City on May 4th.
I was absolutely blown away by Lisa’s look at the Met Gala! The theme was ‘Fashion Is Art,’ and she completely nailed it. She wore this incredible Robert Wun design – it looked like she was inside a tent because of these amazing 3D arms holding up a sheer white veil. It was so creative and truly a work of art! You can see photos of all the stars who attended right here if you want to check them out.
According to Vogue, the sculptures were created using casts of LISA’s body and positioned in poses inspired by traditional Thai dance.
This year’s event was particularly special for Lisa, as she joined the hosting committee for the first time, alongside stars like Zoë Kravitz, Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Misty Copeland, Lena Dunham, and others.
The 2026 Met Gala will be co-hosted by Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour, and it’s the first time LISA will be on the hosting committee. However, she’s attended the Met Gala before – many remember her daring, nearly-nude outfit from last year’s event.
Lisa made a striking entrance at her first Met Gala in a bold, all-black outfit. She paired sheer black tights, underwear, and heels with a knitted black jacket. Completing the look were an updo and a black and white Louis Vuitton purse.
She wasn’t the first member of her K-pop group to go to the Met Gala. Both Jennie and Rosé had attended before—Jennie first in 2023 and again the following year, and Rosé making her debut in 2021.

Even though it’s only the first Monday in May, LISA has already had a productive 2026. She released the song “Bad Angel” with electronic music producer Anyma in April, and then unexpectedly joined him on stage at Coachella just a few days later.
The K-pop artist had been hinting at a potential electronic dance music collaboration for a while, and recently shared details about how she approaches working with other musicians.
She told AnOther magazine that her collaborations are built on strong relationships. She explained that artists involved always share a genuine appreciation for each other’s work, as well as their own. She prioritizes building a friendly connection first, letting the creative work naturally follow.
Lisa wasn’t the only celebrity to make a splash at the Met Gala this year. Here’s a look at other stars who stood out at the 2026 fashion event…
