She-Hulk Star Confirms Their Dream MCU Team-Up (And We Want It More Than Ever)

It’s always thrilling when Marvel Cinematic Universe characters join forces. The Avengers films represent the best of the superhero genre, assembling heroes from various corners of the universe to combat a common threat. However, teamwork isn’t limited to these epic events. For instance, in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, both Captain America and Black Widow appear, along with Falcon, working together to thwart HYDRA’s Project Insight. Even the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Disney+ series aren’t left out, as the latest development in Daredevil: Born Again sees Punisher lending a hand to Matt Murdock in a tricky situation, making it one of the most exciting recent additions to the franchise.

I can’t help but admire Daredevil, as he’s always stepping up when a fellow hero finds themselves in trouble. Whether it’s providing legal assistance to Peter Parker after Mysterio exposes his identity or joining forces with She-Hulk in Los Angeles to tackle some thugs, even when he’s supposed to be relaxing on vacation, Daredevil never misses an opportunity to make a difference. As Tatiana Maslany, who played She-Hulk in the latest MCU series, I’m sure she cherishes our time together and is eager for our next team-up.

At San Diego Comic-Con 2025, while promoting Osgood Perkins’ forthcoming horror movie “Keeper”, Maslany spoke with ComicBook about who her desired co-star from the Marvel Cinematic Universe could be next.

She remarked, “It’s Baby Groot, right? Given the size difference, let’s make the most of this humorous aspect and keep it going while we can.

If placed in a situation fighting crime alongside a chatty tree, She-Hulk might not resist breaking the fourth wall. Even within her universe, where she interacts with Marvel Studios headquarters and alters her show’s ending, that concept is quite difficult to overlook. Nevertheless, it wouldn’t be wise to entirely rule out this team-up, as it could develop into something extraordinary.

The MCU’s Groot Has Never Shared a Battlefield With a Hulk

During the storyline of Avengers: Infinity War, it’s often overlooked that Groot arrives on Earth. Thor employs the Bifrost to whisk himself, Groot, and Rocket away to Wakanda, where Thanos’ army is causing trouble for the Avengers. One reason the heroes are finding it tough going is because Bruce Banner can’t summon his Hulk persona. Due to being ashamed of the Mad Titan, Hulk remains hidden, forcing Banner to operate the Hulkbuster armor instead.

Because her cousin failed to reveal his true abilities to Groot, Jennifer Walters can rectify the situation. All she needs is a suitable location for making Sagaf’s aspirations come alive. As of now, there are no confirmed plans for another season of She-Hulk, and the future of the Guardians of the Galaxy series remains uncertain. However, there are upcoming Avengers films in production, but neither Sagaf (Emily Blunt) nor Vin Diesel’s characters have been announced as part of the cast yet.

A defined meeting point is essential for the collaboration between She-Hulk and Groot to proceed smoothly, or else they’ll have to bide their time in line. It might even work out favorably, given that when Groot last appeared in the MCU, he wasn’t as adorable as Maslany recalls from “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”. The wooden character is now embodying his comic book appearance, becoming significantly taller and showcasing more exaggerated traits. Groot certainly looks impressive, but there will be fewer comical moments if he’s battling alongside She-Hulk at her peak strength.
